Good pizza and drinks, felt very unsafe. I only saw one security person during my visit on the 3rd, may have seen another couldnt tell by his actions. For as many people as were there, i would be feeling more comfortable with more secirity!! ,…
Best shows that come to Portland. There are so many great acts that play at the Aladdin, that I could go there for any show that I've never heard of!
Run-down movie theater turned rockin' live-music venue..
In Short
The Aladdin has retained its movie-house setup with comfy, bolted-down seats and a small balcony in the back. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and the sound is always great. If

Great place for a show. A little out of the way for a traveler but the taxi knew where it was and only took about 10 minutes from the benson hotel. the show was good and it was well organized. The sound was a 7 out of 10, all you can expect out of an old building.…
Ouch!. We couldn't last through the opening act. The bar downstairs sent me upstairs to get a mojito. It was so crowded up there I had to push my way out to get back downstairs. There was very little seating and that was all taken up when we got there. The music was so loud when the opening act started up that I wasn't sure I wanted to stand there long enough to see the main act. Then it got louder! We left without getting our money back. We will never go there again and would recommend against it to any one who asked. Why can't the small venues get that it's the quality of the sound not the quantity? Do they have a one size fits all sound set up? You'd think they were trying to fill the Rose Garden!…
