Hi, I use to work at the Taco Bell a
loooooong time ago in Parkrose. I loved it, and I LOVED the food! But what I have heard lately that the Lombard location is NOT GIVING THE EMPLOYEES THEIR BREAKS, and also have been told that EMPLOYEES ARE EVEN WORKING OFF THE CLOCK FOR AS LONG AS 2 HOURS! McDonalds has a great product, lots of business, and still manages to keep employees happy. Maybe if you focused on the employees you have now, you wouldn't have such a high turn over!

Go To Muchas Gracias Instead. The Taco Bell locations in Portland generally seem like older buildings in dire need of remodeling, but the staff always seems much better than that of Vancouver, WA (with the exception of the Jantzen Beach location, which has the rudest staff I've ever seen). I worked at a Taco Bell in Vancouver, WA for two years before quitting because they were trying to get away with giving me minimum wage for working a management position. Here's a friendly hint when using the drive-thru: If the employees start shouting "Order ready!" or "Get that car out, the next order is ready!" they aren't REALLY rushing the person working the window. They're shouting it so that YOU will here and get out of their drive-thru faster. I understand them doing this if you're taking a while getting your car out once you've recieved your food, but at the one in Jantzen Beach, they were shouting this when I hadn't even paid yet. Do NOT go to the Jantzen Beach location, at least not the drive-thru.

In Short
A pink and blue color scheme, white tile floors and hacienda-like arched windows combine for a subtle Southwestern motif at this fast-food chain. Founded in Southern California in 1962 by Glen Bell (who invented the pre-fab hard taco shell), this casual order-at-the-counter Mexican restaurant features classics like tacos, nachos, quesadillas and burritos. In recent years, menu offerings have expanded to include specialty items like gorditas, chalupas and cinnamon twists.
What a unique place. Dishes sing with flavor at this taco bell. I can see how it was rated "Best of" by Portland City search. Typically I'll get a bunch of bean burritos and just pour hotsauce all over them. I get bean burritos cause I am cheap. Sometimes they have onions in them and sometimes they don't. Always a bit of an adventure there.
Its not just a taco bell.
Its an amazing taco bell.
Do the words "real ground sirlon" "freshly crisped corn shells" "tender chicken" "cilantro, bell pepper, and jalapeno garnishes" ring a bell?
Well that's what mexican food used to be.
