In Short
The giant purple octopus mascot affixed to the outside of this busy spot makes it hard to miss. Downstairs, families surrounded by kitschy murals of faraway isles dine on Greek standards: Moussaka with eggplant, stuffed grape leaves, pork souvlaki kebobs, pasticcio and baklava. Upstairs, hell-raising bachelorette parties dance the night away with belly dancers to the sounds of breaking plates and pop music, just like authentic bazouki-Greek ouzo bars.

Walked in late on a whim. The service was great with freindly staff and the food was better. Will go back again.

Me and my partner came in for lunch with a coupon off of restaurant dot com and thought this would be a pleasant experience. The huge appetizer platter had a great presentation but the food was horrible. The sausage was tough, calamari was cold and the food got us sick. Within a few hours both of us were throwing up from both ends and called the owner the following morning who promised to reverse the charges for our meal. It's been almost three weeks and still no credit to my account. Seriously thinking about pursuing legal action. DO NOT EAT HERE.

I went to the Greek Cusina for a bachelorette party. We were on the upper floor where they supposedly give a show. When we got there, it took the waitress almost 20 minutes to finally come over from chatting with the bartender (obviously not about work) to take our drink orders. when i finally came time to order food, we were told that we HAD to order off the full menu, and couldn't just order appetizers. we were then told we could not split plates. I have never been given so many restrictions on ordering food. After some discussion about this policy they had our waitress let me and my friend split a plate but we HAD to order an appetizer as well. We ordered the saganaki as our appetizer. When the guy brought it out to the table he did the whole pouring the Ouzo and lighting it. When it came time to put the flame out with the lemon, he dropped it on the chair and then proceded to use it. Also, no brought us pita bread until it was cold. When we finally started getting our food, the "show" started, which consisted of us all getting up and dancing with the owner. Most of the girls didn't get to even start eating. My plate was one of the first to arrive, as well as my friends which was the other half of mine. It was cold and the potatoes were WAY undercooked. The other people who did get to eat a little before the show also reported their food was cold. And I'm not talking about room tempurature, I'm talking about COLD! I've come to the conclusion that the reason they started the "show" when they did was to cover up this fact that all of our food was cold. To top it all off, I had to take pitchers they provided for water to the bar to be refilled. Our waitress was overall slow and unhappy. Greek restaurant are usually full of life and all about having a good time. The Greek Cusina was none of those things. I wish that I was able to give this place no stars, but unfortunately CitySearch does not let us do that. I can say that I will never voluntarily go back to this restaurant. If I want to enjoy good Greek food with the atmosphere to go with it I will be going to Alexis!!!
