A casual and comfortable place to grab a drink & you must try one of their gyro's. Weather permitting take your food 7 drink outside to the open alley seating.

Spacious and airy, this bar located near both Voodoo and the Saturday Market is a go-to for hiding out in an otherwise tourist-filled area.
I love this place!.
Being so far from NYC it is nice to get some good Greek food in a comfortable environment!
Berbati's is great! The outdoor seating is unbelievable!
worst rip off ever.. I went to Berbati's for a private party, they they double charged me for my drinks! I work in the service industry and understand that mistakes happen, but when I tried to talk to the bartender about it they completely denied that there was any error, even though I had several people to verify that it was incorrect. DON'T EVER LEAVE A CREDIT CARD OPEN WITH THEM. I have never been screwed over at a bar like this. VERY disappointing. I wish I had at least something positive to say about the experience, but I don't. SO sad.
Keep an eye on your drink....
I will start by saying that I've lived in PDX for the past 11 years, and in that time I've seen many fine shows and had good times at Berbati's Pan. BUT...
Tonight I was annoyed enough to write this review. A friend and I went to see Faith & the Muse in concert. It was advertised that you could get tickets at the venue, but pre-sale in Berbati's restaurant ended at 6pm, while the club's doors were closed until 8pm. So we hung out for about 30m. My friend came back to the restaurant complaining that the lady at the club entrance was a bit snooty and would not sell her a ticket. So we waited until about 8:15, when we were finally able to get in.
Inside, the club was set up in some weird way where both sets of bathrooms were blocked off. I had to show my wrist stamp to the bouncer every time I came back out from a bathroom break. A little awkward!
What really annoyed me was the somewhat aggressive empty container collector. He made sure to pick up not only the empties, but also my Black Russian which was about 3/4 full. I paid over $6 for that drink and I didn't even get to finish half of it!
I've been grateful to Berbati's for their dedication towards showing independent music in Portland all this time. But sometimes I wish they could get their own act together a little more (and please, lower the price on mixed drinks, just a little...)
Good place to go downtown. Love to go to the bar on the east side of the block, and have been to musical shows on the west side... both are good places to go and party down. The food's good at the restaurant and it's a great place to kick off an evening of running around downtown.
good pool tables. This again, is a good happy hour place. goes from 4 to7 i believe. The pool tables are free and the drinks are strong! Well worth your money. The Copper floors are a nice added touch to the decore of the place.
I love this place.. On the weekends they sometimes play some old school late 90's rap and r&b but it is a great dance and meeting place. Great atmosphere.
This happening lounge and cafe offers live music in the heart of downtown's nightlife district..
In Short
Entering from Second Avenue, suburbanite singles and hip music fans coexist in the dim, echoing lounge. There's space for a long bar, dining tables and a sizable pool room. The Third Avenue doorway leads to the the dark, cavernous nightclub, complete with two full bars, stage, lights and sound system. Pan (the nightclub) books some of the most popular alternative acts that come through town. DJ dance parties fill in the off-nights.
Bad Experience Turned Us Away!. I used to go here for Happy Hour with several co-workers. Their Happy Hour deals are great, and we'd often stay even later (aka--spending more money). That all stopped one night when we ordered some drinks 20 minutes before the end of happy hour and were charged full price. When we confronted the waitress, she told us "happy hour goes by THEIR clock", then proceeded to ask if I wanted another "drinky-poo" and make fun of my order to the bartender. As I shared the story with my co-workers, she came and put her arm around me and asked if I had a problem. We then put down our money (minus tip) and left. We never went back.
fun place to hang out. Not a super chic bar but a fun one for sure. all kinds of people, beautiful, trendy, alternative, older, whatever. its for everyone. good loud music sets the atmosphere and the drinks I've had have always been good... and strong. but they are spendy. an AMF is 8 bucks. love the outdoor seating and people watching.
Look before you leap!. Have your beers ahead of time, fifteen clams a pitcher can be a real drag, unless your wallet is getting way to heavy to carry around. Great place to see a show otherwise.
