Smaller, yet well-stocked, Cameron's is ripe with literary classics and oversized picture travel books. But the real bread and butter remains the vast collection of magazines. At Cameron's my friend was reunited with his first ever Playboy: Sherilyn Fenn, December, 1990.
This is how a used bookstore should be. First off, I must say that the owner (I think he was the owner) is wonderful. Very funny and conversational, but not pushy in the slightest. The store is clean in a cluttered sort of way--the books are literally packed onto the shelves, there are so many. But it isn't disorganized at all; on the contrary, signs indicate sections of the small store and all of the titles are organized by last name. Some of the books are a little worn out, some of them look brand new! Great prices, too--I bought three for $9, and these books anywhere else probably would have been around $10 each. Great location, too. Highly recommended if you're a book lover or just like cool, kooky bookstores.
