Downtown shop sucks. I've purchased silver there several times in 2008-9 and it was fine. I would not recommend going there nowadays because the nice salesman isn't there any more. I guess it is run by the main boss who seems constantly upset about something and hates answering questions. Definitely more profit-oriented than customer service. Getting old isn't a picnic, right? Plus it's downtown - no parking. Instead, go to the Tigard store. Prices and selection is the same. Dennis Johnson provides professional customer service and there's lots of free parking in the medical mall. It's my new shop of choice. I did not find it listed on Citysearch but the address is 8879 SW Center St 97223, to the north of 99W. BTW they close at 16 o'clock.
sales rep acted totally bored and disinterested. attitude seemed to be, buy something or get out.
this is the most expensive place in portland to buy precious metals.
Been a customer for many years!. I've been buying from AJPM for many years. The staff provides great customer service and is always very helpful with answering questions. I've found they have the best deals around town. I'm always very happy with the work they've done for me. I am a loyal customer and will continue to shop at AJPM. They've been in business for many years and Rodney is a very honest man!
Should be a great experience, but needs customer service improvement..
This store (see their website) should be a great place to buy and sell. The post their prices to buy and sell on the internet. Sweet. I have bought and sold (together) probably $30,000 with them.
They don't appreciate your business, seem as if you are bothering them to ask to buy from them. The dark chubby guy, in particular, grunts if he says anything at all. Seems like a company should say thanks if you come in and drop 10,000 on their counter. Nope. Every time I go in and that guy helps me, I feel guilty for not telling him that he makes me feel like dirt. And they don't display their goods very well. A lot of times, they have almost nothing on display.
I'll go back, but they would do three times the business if they acted like they appreciated their customers.
And if they ever tried to sell me something, maybe showed me something that I might appreciate, I'd probably spend twice as much.
Awful Service.. I went into this jewelry shop yesterday looking for a ring setting. The first gentleman who attempted to assist me seemed hurried and passed me off onto another gentleman as he raced out of the store on his cell phone. The second gentleman didn't seem very interested in helping me as he answered his PDA while I was trying to ask him a few questions about the ring settings they had available. I was snapped at when I could not answer a technical jewelery question and all of a sudden, there were no settings for me to view. The service was sloppy, the employees were rude and overall was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
