I wish I would have known about this
place years ago. It would have saved me a lot of bad haircuts & wasted time; not to mention money. This place is really low-key. Not "trendy" or pretentious. Just a basic Barber Shop. When I got there I was seated immediately with a friendly smile from the female Barber there, I think her name was Shane? I was relieved they could get me in right away, since I didn't have an appointment. She said she didn't mind a "last minute walk-in". I got a super relaxing scalp massage/shampoo before she cut my hair. It was awesome. Most places charge extra for that these days.
Good selection of magazines & books to read (written by local authors I was told, very cool!).
Overall, great cut, affordable & accommodating.
Thanks a lot! See you guys soon!

Having lived in Pdx for many years, I
must say, when looking for a "no foo foo or no frills" Barber shoppe, I have definitely found what I was looking for. I'm a man! I don't want some fancy "metro sexual" salon just for a haircut. I want an ol' timey, simple Barber shoppe, where I can put my feet up, relax, have a friendly conversation, read the paper, or a magazine & get a damn fine haircut. This place has a lot of history and has been around for many, many years. Its right next to Huber's in a historic building. Love that, its charming. It tells a story. The owner Jerry is a great guy, he's been there for over 35 years; there is also a lovely young lady there (Shane), who gives a great cut. She's friendly, and has a sense of humor. Fellas, this is exactly what a real man needs. Win!
PS~ Appointments are NOT required. They do take walk-ins.
This Place Rocks.
I left the shop looking pro for under $20. The barber even put hot lather on my neck and shaved of the scragglies with a straight razor!
This parlor is a taste of old school Portland, and though the staff has seen some changes over the years, it is still a one of a kind barber shop with lots of character.
Best Barber Shop In Town!!. Great barber shop! Friendly people, in a great building(next to Huber's)! I would reccomend it to anyone! Visitors or residents!! Try them you won't be sorry!!
