Portland's maritime history comes to life at this museum housed in a former tugboat.. In Short
The steam-powered tugboat Portland once guided ocean-going ships into Portland's harbor but now houses a family-friendly museum. Berthed at the Willamette River seawall in the Gov. Tom McCall Waterfront Park, the boat hosts exhibits of ship models, photos, navigational instruments and a museum store. Movie fans also stop by the museum that once served as the location for Maverick, a 1990s film starring Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson.
