Great for HH, friendly bartenders, an old world vibe w/a mix of personalities. Classic martini's made superbly, finger food that satisfies

Jake's is the Place for Dinning to celebrate special events. My wife & I celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary last night September the 30th. What a great evening place to relax and eat and enjoy our evening.

Thanks, again

Don was our waiter

Violently ill after eating Jake's seafood. I got a horrific case of food poisoning after eating shrimp at this restaurant. I contacted them by phone and email to let them know about it, and never received a response. I was ill with SEVERE stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. I did contact the Oregon health department, so I would suggest staying away if you want to stay out of the toilet.  View Less View More

Eat the menu, not the fish.. If one could eat reputation and history, this would perhaps be a good restaurant. However, if one likes and appreciates seafood, stay far away from Jakes. At one point I considered putting salt on the menu and eating it. It would have had more flavor than any of the four dishes we had. How can one take fresh seafood and extract all of the taste? I have eaten seafood all over the world and I have never paid so much for so little. Is this a Portland joke? Is there anything less than one star?  View Less View More

First Visit - So Disappointed. The history of this famous Portland restaurant was the best part. And, the atmosphere is very happening. I love seafood. I had the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. I don't treat myself to them often, and I thought oh they will be so good here, so I must! They were burnt! I really should have sent them back. My husband was also displeased with his meal. The prices are crazy expensive, which is totally fine as long as you get what you pay for. Won't go there again. Many other places which are not as expensive with better food.  View Less View More
