Great look, Great Service

I've been getting my clothes made for a number of years. However, I moved away from Portland a few years back and have been struggling to find a clothier that is as good as Mike. I made some purchases from Tom James - not even close to design and more importantly fit. It simply doesn't compare! My solution? Since I do make it back to good 'ol PDX every now and again, I make it a point to stop in and pick up some new pieces. And, as always, they are nothing short of AWESOME. If you're thinking about picking up some custom apparel, Michael Allen's is the ONLY place to go! I encourage anybody and everybody to buy their clothes here. And, to boot, if I need some additional items and can't make it back into town, I simply give Mike a call and tell him what I am looking for - and he takes it from there. I fully trust his judgement and you can too! Thanks Mike and keep up the great work!

Fashion Forward

Anyone with an eye for detail, quality and uniqueness should make it a point to visit Michael Allen's Clothier. I am impressed with the thought that appears to have gone into the merchandising of the store. Rather than racks and racks of department store designer goods and labels, you will find a collection of clothing from cutting edge and fashion forward designers and manufacturers. If you want your wardrobe to be as individual as you are, you will enjoy your experience at Michael Allen's. Custom clothing is an option here as well. I have had the opportunity to have a few items tailored for myself. Yes, an indulgence, and I am so glad that I did it. Nothing fits like something made especially for you. I had no idea that there are so many options. From lapels and vents, to collars and cuffs, to flat front and rise the options abound and the choices seem endless. It has always been worth the wait for something made just for me. To help me with my selections, whether ready to wear or custom, the staff has repeatedly proven to be knowledgeable and service oriented. The environment is not corporate and you are likely to have an opportunity to interact with the owner and his prized Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Charlie and Max.

Quality, Service and Selection is the pinnacle of Michael Allen's Clothier

Michael Allen's is Portland's best option in men's fashion! Just entering the store, you realize a unique sense of style and quality. The staff is knowledgeable; able to custom design clothing, refine pre-made garments and align you to designers who's clothing suits your build and lifestyle best! The shopping experience was enjoyable and almost "intoxicating;" Between the incredible selection, staff interaction and what seemed to be endless glasses of wine, my head spun! This is indeed the Northwest's best treasure!

• Pros: unique, tasteful clothing -- none of that chain stuff!
• Cons: Costly..but I will do it again
