It's moved to S 3rd St. Older non-smoking guys like us who are in bed by 11 really appreciate the Sunday stripper show at the Silverado. It is a brilliant way to include old fogies like us. BTW, I just have to say that Danny has the greatest ass of all the dancers. Only because we can have a night out on the town and not lose sleep over it is what brings us out. Thanks, Silverado Mgt, it is brilliant!!…
Great strip club, but need better security!.
The new downtown location is a great place to party and see
hot male strippers. But it draws in some rougher types.
They need professional security instead of the former go-go
boy who wanders the floor.
Good crowds on weekends, with a good beer bash late
Sunday afternoons. Upstairs balcony, outdoor patio
and quieter pool room give you some options to move
around. Enjoy!…
Typical gay bar with good stippers.
Great strippers. Lots of eye candy. It's definately the "meat market" of the Portland Gay Bars. 3 bars, an outer area for smoking, a cat walk, strippers, pool, video poker and some grease food.
Not in a good location, despite the move to a new building. Brings in a lot of the transients off the street and sub-standard clientele.
Good place for flirting and dropping singles in strippers thongs though!…
Fun club, some rude, burned out staff.
The new club downtown is great! Large stage with video screens, and plenty of room
to move around to a balcony, back patio, and quieter pool room and lounge. Much better
floorplan. However, they kept the same staff, many who have " cold " personalities. The
African American " floor manager " pushes customers around, throws attitude and jumps
onstage to mess up the shows. The doorman seems more like a jail warden, no warm
welcome here. Even if you've been coming here for years, many staff will look right thru
you, like they don't know you. Some have burned out, and they need to refresh the staff.
They have brought in new dancers which is great, but still need to replace a few of
the same, tired dancers. Great crowd on weekends, probably your best bet, if you are
from out of town. Maybe some creative events during the week, like stand up comics
would bring in a weekday crowd. Limited parking, you may just want to pay in the lot
nearby.…
Interesting, entertaining, but not worth the effort to figure out. I have mixed feelings about the Silverado?s new location. I?ve been going to the Silverado regularly for several years and am starting to question why. I often leave wondering whether there are things going on in the club that I?m better off not knowing. For example, are the dancers straight, gay, hustling? Why is the staff sometimes very friendly and other times aloof? Why are so many customers (of all sizes, shapes, and ages) so self-absorbed? Why do some of the cutest guys there bring a ?girlfriend? with them? The traffic pattern at the new club is horrible on a busy night or on a Sunday afternoon. Going to the bar to get a drink and navigating customers who will not move an inch only encourages me to sip my drinks very slowly. The new club appears to have retained its loyal following of customers and stable of male ?performers,? so they must be doing something right. I suppose I should just accept that I?m stepping into another world for a couple of hours ? a world where the rules don?t necessarily make sense and where people aren?t always behaving at their best. The one bright spot at the new club is the cocktail waiter ? he makes everything else tolerable.…
