In Short – Trickling falls decorate the entry into a land of sushi that has yet to emerge from the '80s. Adding to the kitsch factor are the private rooms with cushions, tatami mats and low tables. Generously portioned fresh fish draws sushiheads, while live New Orleans style jazz brings the music set. Tunas are always delicious--ask for Toro or Hawaiian varieties. The beef teriyaki is delivered sizzling on a molten-hot lava rock.

The food is disgusting------DONT EAT HERE
by Ninadina
I've never been disappointed with a restaurant as I am today. I went there for lunch and had to wait 40 mins for my food to arrive. (I only get an hour for lunch) When my food finally arrived it was disgusting. I ordered beef teriyaki with rice and my partner order chicken teriyaki. The beef was covered in grease and the fat wasn?t trimmed off. The chicken was raw and the rice was dry and hard. I was upset and asked to speak to the manager. The manager approached us and I told her that it had been my first time coming and that I would never come back I told her and showed her what was wrong with the food. Instead of providing good customer service she told me " Oh well I?ve never had complaints maybe it?s just you." She was obviously rude and unprofessional. I asked for the check and paid $34.00 for a meal that I didn?t even eat. I would never recommend this place.
- Cons: I waited 40 mins for my food, food was bad and the service was rude.
poor quality..everything

The room settings are very nice. The food is a bit overpriced. Especially for the quality you get.
The sushi was not good at all. I would have rather gone to Mio sushi or Saburo's ... maybe even sushihana for that quality of sushi.
Then when the server brought our food and set it on our table, I noticed that her nails were extremely dirty. There was dirt under her nails and it was really..not all that great to see my food set down on my table with dirty hands.
They were not busy when we went, but the service was slow.
I wouldn't recommend this place.
Maybe it used to be great but the quality has gone down..?
All I know is that from my experience, there are much better Japanese restaurants with better food, better service, and better everything .. for a low cost.
- Pros: atmosphere, interior
- Cons: quality of food, service, pricey
