In Short
The dining room's rich wood accents and opulent fixtures are in view of the gleaming open kitchen. Secluded and serene seating in the back caters to business diners and romantics while the chic bar is crowded with pre- and post-theater folks sipping scotches and noshing from the lounge menu. Traditional pastas anchor the menu, which also features duck with kumquat sauce and regional Italian dishes: tre cicchetti, three Venice-inspired nibbles, including marinated mushrooms and duck pate.

we set out for mothers bistro on a saturday morning and got there at 9:30 with a half hour or more waiting list. so, we headed up to broadway to see what was going on and i remembered from some time ago that pazzo's was open for breakfast as the restaurant for the adjacent hotel. my two guests had lox and bagels and bacon and eggs and i had the mushroom, spinach and fontina omlette. they also served a fresh grain/nut bread and with hukleberry and apple jam. what a treat! everything was prepared perfectly and the service was attentive and polite. i don't think many people think of pazzo's for breakfast but we will definitely be back. oh, seating was immediate and the atmosphere very nice.

I went here for my anniversary a couple weeks ago and had a great evening! Our waitress went above and beyond in service and truly made it a great experience for us. The food was delicious, as were the appetizer and desserts. We missed out though, we had wanted the pineapple upside down cake and they ran out, but had a delicious alternative dessert - baked cream with berries. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice, romantic evening out in downtown.

This is a really nice restaurant downtown Portland. It's close to the MAX (so parking could be tricky) and Pioneer Square. The food is delicious, but expensive. Lots of nice wines- a good place to take parents for a really nice dinner.
