First Timer. My husband and I tried Pasta Bella last night on "Sinatra Sunday." I was sooo impressed by the warm family environment. It was a little smaller than I anticipated, but that made it cozy and romantic. The menu is small to go with the restaurant size, but the prices were very reasonable. And, the food was FABULOUS! They also have a full bar with many wine choices, so you can choose the perfect wine for your dish. I definately recommend to go when "The Voice" is performing. He's fantastic!! Reservations are probably a good idea if you have more than 2 people.
Excellente!. I have eaten at Lorenzo's Pasta Bella many times and have never been dissapointed. The food is wonderful, I have not ordered a dish that I haven't liked. The service and atmosphere make each visit very enjoyable. My new favorite night is Sunday's. Their "Sinatra Sundays" are one of a kind. The Frank Sinatra tribute singer is great. I highly recommend this place.
Authentic?. I went to Pasta Bella last week for dinner with my fiance, having both relocated from NYC last month. We've been searching for a good pasta place, well were we disappointed! My neighbors recomended this place and we were eager to try it out.I dont know where these people are from but it certainly isnt within miles of any Italian neighborhood Iv'e heard of. Authentic? My pasta was overcooked, my wifes stuffed breast of chicken had bacon,Not pancetta. I know because Pancetta is not smoked, its cured and this tasted like a salty smokey rubbery waste of money. Portland, Dont put up with Lousy Italian Food thats overpriced
Above My Expectations. Last weekend I stopped into "Lorenzos Pasta Bella" for the first time. I moved to Portland from the East Coast almost 2 Years ago, and have been passing by this little, family-owned Italian Restaurant every day since. The food reminded me of home and the service make you feel like family. siiting at the bar I got to look around and see KIDS with coloring crayons having fun.
Bite before the game. My family and I were looking for somewhere to grab a bite before the Beavers game and stumbled across Pasta Bella. Unfortunately, there aren't many experiences that exceed expectations, but our dinner there did just that. The menu was authentic and inspired. My wife, who wasn't even hungry, ordered the chicken stuffed with Procuitto with mushrooms and finished the whole plate. Papa Lorenzo makes you feel like your part of his family and eating in his house. Nice find!
An evening to remember....... I had the good fortune of being invited to join a group of friends for dinner at Pasta bella one evening. I was very impressed with the cuisine. There was a good combination of simple, authentic fare and delectable dishes bursting with complex flavors and wonderful aromas. The staff was very friendly and the service outstanding; our server suggested the perfect wines to accompany our food. I was even informed that I was parked in a private lot and our server promptly ran out and put a permit on my car himself. A unique ambience and romantic setting make it perfect for couples while still remaining inviting to the casual diner. I will definitly be back!
A warm and pleasant experience. The service is always great at Pasta Bella. A glass of Montepuciano with the duck is worth the price. The lamb is very savory but the sauce is on the salty side. Everything is presented beautifully and the restaurant offers formal eating without being stuffy or pretensious
