I go to Southpark for two things--fresh oysters and happy hour in the summer, because you can sit outside along quiet SW 9th Avenue. The adjoining wine bar's a cute downtown date night spot for a glass or two.

Love the calamari lightly breaded with jalapeño peppers and onions. Tender, tasty & cook just right. The meatballs were excellent, lightly seasoned, juicy with an excellent chunky tomato sauce. Great service with a smile. Busy at HH
I've eaten here twice and the food and service are both good. The cozy wine bar in the back is set up oddly as far as traffic goes, but it is intimate and the happy hour menu is really good. It's a bit of a refined atmosphere and a good date place.
went there last week. food litterally sucked. calamari wasnt cooked enough. crab cakes were dipped in crisco. burger was from frozen aisle in safeway. waitress was way too nice, fake in other words. and get this i woke up this morning to find that my debit card was ran thruogh twice. once, of course while there, including the tip, standard obviously. and again this morning it shows as pending , but without the tip. i dont like to pay for one sitting twice, especially when the food sucks. im seriously thinking about pressing charges.i rate the food a 3 out of 50 and i rate the theft a 50 out of fifty. everybody who eats or has eaten there should check their accounts for double swiping.
Got sick from something there. Atmosphere was nice but for the price of the food, I thought it was just ok, nothing really to boast about. As soon as I got home I had a bad case of diarrhea. Saw that someone else who had eaten there posted that they had the crab cakes also for a starter and had gotten sick. They ate there the day after I did, so I'm thinking it was bad. Not very good for a higher priced restaurant. Won't go back.
Great Food!. I had dinner there last Saturday night with eight of my friends. Great food! I had oysters on the half shell, heirloom tomato gazpacho, and the butternut squash ravioli...all of it scrumptious! Even though we started our dinner with a less than stellar server, the management made everything right, and I will definitely be back.
Crab or Ravioli Warning.
Appetizer: crab cakes
Entree: Butternut Squash Ravioli
There's no doubt that one of those two plates was bad. Almost had to pull over on the drive home to throw up.
Great place for drinks before or after Movie.
I love the bar at Southpark. I often head over after a movie at the Fox Tower.
The food at the bar is always consistent and tasty.
There's a nice selection of wines.
The bartender is excellent.
Have only eaten in the restaurant once. So can't really comment on it.
I expect excellence and they came through!. I work at a local hotel very close to Southpark and I like to sample the restaurants in the areas for good suggestion. The last few times I have taken someone downtown, I have taken them to Southpark! The staff there are very friendly and attentive, the food is magnanimous! I had the Halibut the last time and cant say anything more that amazing! I love their wine selection! I dont find very many places that have the specific Reisling that I like, but they do! I also get fantastic comments from guests that I send here! If you like good food, good service and a great wine selection, then do not miss going to Southpark!
Great Place!. I had an amazing experience at Southpark. The wait staff does a great job of pairing the food and wine. The seafood was fresh and the whole meal was delicious from appetizer to dessert. The atmosphere was also very warm and comfortable.
Good bar, ok restaurant. The food and the ambience at the restaurant were a little bland. The bar area is nice except for a couple of tables that are in the traffic lanes. The bartender was super nice and knowledgeable. Great place to grab a drink and a bite before a show at the Schnitz.
try the lunch. I really enjoy lunch, atmosphere and decor! I love the vibe. My only complaint for dinner is the calamari with the veggies are more like a deep fried blooming onion, lighter would be better since its an appetizer, maybe a few more drink option for the bar, loved the crab cakes. There was this bean soup I really liked for lunch.
