The family specializes in gourmet food products with and emphasis, of course, in Italian. Such delights as imported Porcini mushrooms, San Marzano tomatoes, Truffle olive oils, Arborio rice, Lupini beans, Grosili, 10 year old balsamic vinegar and Perugina, Caffarel, and Hazzaronin chocolates are just a few of those delightful yet difficult to find imported delicacies.
…

At first glance, this longtime downtown deli’s hodgepodge of foodstuffs can seem overwhelming, but there’s a certain comfort to be found in the cozy (and very well-curated) clutter.

Martinotti's is most known got their. Martinotti's is most known for their family-recipe deli offerings and top quality Italian ingredients, but their wine selection from around the world is even more impressive.
great traditional italian food. Every time I open the door to Martinottis I am greeted with smiles and delicious food. The sandwiches are wonderful and the cannolis are decadent. I recommend this wonderful Italian deli to everyone.
great friendly service.
Simply a wonderful, one of a kind experience. Friendly family owned and still Italian. I liked the pasta of the day as well as their soups (Clam chowder) the best.
At a time when Italian means expensive, overated, and not at all Italian, this family has the real thing and they do it with pleasure and soul.
Great Portland experience.
Price-eeee!. I ordered the italian sandwich which came highly recommended. The place had a nice atmosphere, and familiar aroma in the air. Growing up in an large east coast italian family, it brought back alot of great memories. My mom coming home with fresh cold cuts from the italian deli and fresh spuckie rolls from the bakery. That was until I paid for the sandwich and my euphoria caming to a screeching halt, similar to the noise a car skidding in the street makes. Close to ten bucks, I opened the bag with both hands and glanced in. A 4X4 square of sandwich. The meats were very tasty, yet for the price something was missing. I don't know, it was just ok for me -
Service, quality and selection for over 30 years.. Where does one start to describe a family and store dedicated to service, quality and selection for over 30 years? A total wine and Italian deli in downtown Portland. This is what a family business is all about! Martinotti's offers the biggest selection of the world's wines in Oregon, vintages going back decades. Add to this his vast knowledge of wines and you need not go anywhere else. Frank Martinotti over sees the deli and cheese counter; you again find no one with a vaster knowledge of cheeses in Portland. Dixie Martinotti, the matriarch of the family keeps a watchful eye over everything. Go for lunch; go for a great selection, go just to be part of a disappearing lifestyle!
It is the best.. My granndparents own this place. It has the best food. I recommend the salami and gelatto.
Had lunch today. Great service, owners make you feel @ home, very friendly, food was fast and great, prices are reasonable, huge selection of italian products, probably the best in town, at logical prices (for imported goods). Wine selection is excellent. Try the procciuto from Parma, I'll try it in my next visit. Definitelly reccomend the place.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Italian cafe, deli and market for more than 20 years. Sandwiches, salads and pastries, olive oils, porcini mushrooms and wine.
Absolutely Old School!. A throw back. Real Italian deli. Awesome wine selection, great Italian meats and cheeses, not to mention the best selection of Italian pre-packaged items around. Amazing service and a great lunch spot. Oh, if they have canolli that day grab some!
Good deli, European flair. This place has an Italian feel to it. There is a deli and a store, limited seating available, but a positive experience overall.
