Ah, Scooter's. The perfect downtown dive bar. Go for the pre/post Timbers games camaraderie, or just go for a plastic tray of jello shots. Pineapple's my favorite.

You can say it's the location across from a rehabilitation center & guilt that keep you inside, but I'm guessing it's the cheap drinks.

In Short
While the music may soothe your soul, Scooter's kitchen will warm your stomach with homey offerings such as hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy, and spaghetti and meatballs. Attracting what one waitress calls "a working middle-class" kind of crowd, Scooters fills up in the evening with downtown bar- and restaurant-workers from places such as Jake's and the Ringside, as well as patrons who live within walking distance.

love it. Love this lace for its lack of pretentiousness. Very mellow crowd except on weekends when it gets to be a frat party. Always have had great service except on weekends when it's too busy and not enough staff. They pour a stiff drink and the food is good!
