Beautiful work - Good value. As I looked around town for an engagement ring setting, I found that I knew what I wanted, but that nobody had one for sale. So, I decided to have it made. Thomas had the metalworking skills and the communication skills to build my ring exactly as I wanted it. It's the perfect combination of elegant, simple, and durable. I look forward to wearing it for many years.

Although I read one review that commented about higher-than-average prices, I thought it was a bargain... one-on-one time with a highly skilled craftsman to build a custom-made piece!

Great service. I came to Jones and Jones looking for an engagement ring after reading the other reviews on City Search. I wanted to find a small jeweler because I didn't trust the chain stores and wanted to support a local business. Kim was great. I was the only person there and got the personal attention that would be hard to find somewhere else. She explained everything in great detail and didn't pressure me on anything.

I found a great ring and the most beautiful diamond I've ever seen. I highly recommend going to Jones and Jones. It was so easy and comfortable.

The Best. My wife's two rings (both designed and crafted by Thomas) have quite a story in their design and crafting; and are only as great as they are due to Thomas' craftsmanship, skill, and character, which are all considerable.

I was deployed to the middle east when I decided to find a suitable ring for my fiancee. After extensive research spanning four months, (starting out at pricescope-dot-com and branching out throughout the sprawling miasma of information on diamonds and rings available on the net) I contacted the head of EightStar diamonds and was enormously impressed with the personal service and excellent diamonds available, and purchased an amazing stone. The president of EightStar personally recommended Mr. Jones of Jones and Jones Jewelers as being the finest jeweler available to set an Eightstar.

I contacted Mr. Jones and requested a Tiffany-style custom setting in platinum. He replied promptly and was exceedingly helpful in offering suggestions that transformed my original idea into a stunning piece. The six prong basket was set significantly lower into the band (which was worked to include a subtle knife-edge bevel with bracketed on either side with masterful pave work circumstantially) to protect the diamond while still showing it off. My wife finds the design practical (we're very active and this prong setting protects the table facet as well as the girdle very well) as well as much more attractive than the typical Tiffany style setting.

The wedding band was crafted by Mr. Jones in less than 4 weeks completely customized for my wife's hand and the palladium was so well polished that it's virtually impossible to tell that the two rings are different metals.

Mr. Jones updated our appraisals for each ring for free, re-sized both rings for free after my fiancee's fingers decided to shrink a size.

Kim tracked our packages stage by stage and helped me locate the package when USPS made a huge mistake by shipping the package to the wrong office and not securing the package upon delivery. She found the package and led me right to it with updates every 30 minutes.

And to top it all off, I haven't been able to find more reasonable prices for that level of craftsmanship and service anywhere.

If you choose Jones and Jones you will be in the hands of a masterful and benevolent craftsman and his unbelievably attentive partner and wife.

Fantastic Customer Service and Great Price. I recently took my grandmother's engagement ring to have it resized. While there, I asked Kim about repairing or possibly resetting another ring my late husband had given to me 20 years ago. The ring needed a lot of work. Kim found almost the exact same setting and it turns out that it was cheaper to purchase the new setting than try to repair the original. I can't say enough about the awesome customer service and the great price. I will definitely recommend them to others and go back myself.

Ask for Kim, she makes dreams come true!!!. I will never take my jewelry elsewhere. Kim and Thomas are home town folks in a down town setting, with elegance and class to match. I often visit the store just to check out the latest in Tom's beautiful creations. Breathtaking to say the least and fairly priced as well. They clean my rings and ear rings for no charge and sized my wedding ring down 2 whole sizes with no residual clues of any alterations. Conveniently located on the first floor of the Star Park parking garage at the corner of 6th and Alder, and only one block from Pioneer Square. So to justify my 5 Star rating...... Great location, plenty of parking, malls and eateries near by and last but not least; the commitment to a job well done at a reasonable price.

Beautiful jewelry and excellent service. My husband and I first used them to create my unique engagement ring. They were the only store who would listen to what I was looking for and create the ring I wanted. We have since been back and had our wedding bands made as well as other repair work completed.

Their wonderful costumer service is hard to come by and the work Tom does is like no other and Kim is always exceptionally helpful. What always surprised is me is how low the prices are considering everything is custom and hand made. There is no place we'd rather go than Jones & Jones!

Amazing custom design, excellent followup service. I went here last year to get a custom design engagement ring, which sits on my finger as a constant reminder of the excellent service I got here, and continue to get.

Jones is very knowledgeable, and he will sit with you several million times and talk with you about the custom piece you want in order to get it right, debunking several myths along the way. (Even several other jewelers that I went to, like David Frank, raved about Jones' purist style of work.) He fabricated a ring for me that I didn't like, then went straight back into his studio (after showing me a mock-up that I did like) and made me the ring of my dreams. He took the time to find just the right stones at the right price, and was even willing to use palladium, which he says he won't normally work with. When he couldn't find palladium heads for the design I'd envisioned, he threw platinum heads on at no extra charge.

My fiancee called Jones recently to see how much a resizing of the ring would be (because it is such a special design, it has the potential to be complex and expensive) after the 6 month (or 1 year, I can't remember) window for a free resizing had expired (we won't have our wedding until next year). No charge, Jones said. Amazing. You will be hard pressed to find another jeweler in Portland, or anywhere, that is as good as this guy, in either expertise/craftsmanship or service. We will definitely go back for our wedding bands.

Very knowledgable and helpful. After going to many of Portland's "finest" jewelry stores, we went here based on the Citysearch review and were very impressed. Although the selection may be smaller, the service and the knowledge were amazing. The jeweler, who owns the store and has for 20+ years, spent over an hour with us and us alone, helping us find the right setting for our diamond, explaining the work, even pointing out some potential issues with our current situation. Although the prices are comparable to the other high-end jewelers, the level of service and knowledge per dollar are way beyond the others. Definitely worth a look.

If you are looking for something unique. We discovered Jones & Jones through a referral when my husband I were looking for wedding rings. We were falttered at the time Tom and Kim took to show us the possiblilities. Tom created a one of kind ring that has always drawn compliments and inquiries as to where it came from. My husband and I have been back several times for more pieces and all of them feel personal and unique.

Nice place. I discovered this place by accident exploring the area around Pioneer Square and was shocked to find a place with 8-star diamonds in Portland. I bought a ring for myself on my first visit, and went back a few months later with my wife and had a pair of diamond earings made. It was a nice place with some of the best jewelery I've seen in Portland. It's one of the only one or two shops in town I would reccomend.
