This is my first review ever written for somewhere due to how frustrated and unhappy I am after my service with spa sasse. First off, I will say that Erin gives a wonderful massage that was extremely relaxing while perfectly targeting my problem areas. The part I am unhappy with, however, is the facial I received. I got the divine renewal package that was supposed to be in the same room, but it wasn't and I had to wait in the waiting area in nothing but a robe after my massage. It was cold throughout the building. After waiting a woman got me for my facial without bothering to introduce herself. The facial started without warning and the woman got the product in my eye. She didn't allow me to relax at all because she wouldn't stop talking about how I needed all the products she was using. After five minutes she turned on the steamer and left the room. The steamer was so close to my face that it felt like it was burning me. I was left like that for ten minutes before she decided to come back in. She applied another product and didn't bother massaging it in. Just quick strokes and then removed it, laid on a mask and said she needed to let it sit "for a few". SHe left again. This time I checked the clock. By the time she came back I had been laying there with this icy-hot-like "mask" for twenty four minutes. That's THIRTY FOUR total minutes of doing absolutely nothing. When I was done with the facial the receptionist asked how everything was, and I told her I felt uncomfortable saying so, but that the facial was awful for the above reasons. She apologized and explained that the woman who performed my service was the owner.... I will never return to this place.

Try looking up the words CUSTOMER SERVICEin the dictionary because currently you don't have a CLUE. You tried to charge me $150 fee for a missed appointment that could not have been helped in anyway. Who does that? Then you ignored all my attempts to contact you to rectify the situation.

You are THEIVES in my opinion. Groupon refunded every nickel of my money and I'll never step foot in your rented space. There are WAY too many wonderful salons in Portland to take a chance on this place. BEWARE!!!!

I bought a laser hair removal package here off of Groupon to have some dark hairs removed from my chin. $199 and 6 treatments later, I don't notice a difference. Like, at all. It was never all that bad to begin with, I have the light skin and dark hair the treatment is geared towards, so I'm not sure what the problem was? And, at my last treatment when it was very clear the treatment hadn't worked, the girl offered me 6 more treatments for the same "deal". Um, no thanks. Needless to say, don't waste your money. (I gave it 2 stars only because I have no idea what their other spa services are like, my only experience was with the laser.)

My friend was looking for a place that would take a larger group of people for spa appointments so my friends and I could enjoy my birthday. After she did a bunch of calling around she found that Spa Sasse was more than happy to accommodate our group (which ended up being 6 people). We all were getting different treatments and they did a great job of keeping people moving around

All in all, it was a great experience for me and I highly recommend this spa. The décor is nice but not over the top. Even though it is downtown, it is very quiet and soothing. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. There is no feeling of snootiness or pushing of products. If you want to relax downtown Portland, this is the place!!

The massages and facials have truly been heavenly and left me feeling completely refreshed. Their products are of the highest quality and make my skin feel amazing. Actually, I have yet to be disappointed with any treatment/service I've received there. As far as prices go, I find their prices comparable to other spas that I have been to in the past and going there, at least I can be certain that my money is being well spent.

When you walk by this spa, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but DO go in! My first sensory treat was the wonderful aromas that filled my olfactory system as I entered ~ from all the bath bombs and sea salts they sell. It's much, much larger inside than it looks from the outside. I was greeted by friendly staff and picked up a brochure. After perusing the extensive menu of services, I chose a massage, facial and a pedicure. They were able to get me in right away and escorted me into the back where I changed into a soft white robe & slippers, relaxed with some hot tea, munched a few cookies and filled out a form.

A co-worker told me about the couples spa day, so I took my husband for our anniversary and WOW. Fantastic massage and the water treatment was out of this world! The food was great, the staff was great, the whole day was great. We will be back!

Friendly and Quick. My goal in getting a massage is to loosen up my overly stiff body. This spa has done a better job of this for me than others I have tried. The staff is friendly and quick to tailor my massage to address my issues, and I really appreciate this I find it very calm and relaxing here!!!
