"shoes on the run" is very honest, reasonable, and efficient. I have been going to him for last 7 years. He has fixed everything that he could, and told me honestly about the ones he couldn't. He has saved me many hundreds of dollars by prolonging the lives of shoes that my family loved. BTW - He fixes purse strap lengths very nicely as well.

Awesome. I had a pair of Frye boots that needed a vibram sole. He did an awesome job and had them ready BEFORE he quoted. GO HERE!

Easy location for practical shoe repair in downtown PDX. I gave the guy with the eastern european accent some hiking boots to get resoled. He did a fine job, found a suitable Vibram replacement sole even though the original one wasn't available anymore. Cleaned off the shoes as well and and filled in some gaps so the entire bottom is solid again, no more gaps between the shoe and rubber bottom. I think I turned them in on a Thursday and he gave me a Monday pickup. $70 for the job makes sense with the parts and some labor hours, I paid half up front and the rest when I saw how it came out. Can't say anything about doing pretty shoes here but it will serve for regular patch jobs. No frills operation, you should just get what you need out of it.

it's worked. I brought in a pair of stiletto boots to have the heels replaced as they were worn to the nub. Well I walked in around 11:45 a.m. and the guy behind the counter said it could take him five minutes and asked if I wanted to wait. I was so shocked (in disbelief) that he told me it would only take 5 minutes, that I just said "oh that's ok, I'll drop back in this afternoon around 3pm." So I left and when I came back at 3:55 I was expecting to be able to pick up my boots, pay and walk out the door. Not so fast. When I came back they were not done and were still sitting on the the "to do " shelf. The guy behind the counter didn't even recognize me and told me they were "almost done" and had me wait so he could finish them. Hmm....over 3 hours later and he still did not have them done....?? Anyway he got the job done and they look great but I'm a little dissatisfied with the 'service'. Each to their own I guess. My only suggestion is if you need something quickly done, wait the five minutes and get out of there.
