Worse office party.
I went to the worse office party ever there.
The stairway was so dark I could not see my feet as I climbed the stairs.
The snobby bar maid made a point of waiting on everyone else who arrived at the bar after me. The point she was making is that I didn't have the right look to hang out at her trendy overpriced bar. If I had been there with friends, I would have left, but since I was at an office party, I had to stay.
The wine list is mediocre, overpriced and hard to read in the dim light. The wine was not even served in a wine glass but in a small water glass. There were no local wines on the list.
This is a great bar for pretentious people who want to max out their credit cards on a trendy scene. If you want a quality food and drink, good customer service in a well-lit place, go somewhere else.…
Nice place, good food. My wife and I had a very nice evening here. The place is very cozy, nice and dark with a great old wood bar. Food was excellent, from salads to dessert, everything very fresh and tasty. Nice pool tables (NOT coin operated, which I love). The servers and hostess were all very friendly and helpful. My only issue with the service is that when we first arrived we waited a pretty long time to have our drink order taken and delivered, despite it being very slow. But after that initial delay the service was great and unfailingly friendly for the rest of the night.…
Sneaky charges, but I guess it should have figured. . ..
Came in here with my cousin and her fiance (it's been a few months ago now), thought we would grab some happy hour and check it out a little. While ordering our drinks at the bar, we asked if the
pool tables were open, the place was completely deserted mind you. Told the bar we were going to play a game and would be ordering food. We played two games and sat by our table for 2 hours, during this time only two more tables became occupied. We ordered apps and each had a couple of drinks. when received our bill it was over 80 dollars, only 50 of that charging for consumables. We were not informed that they're was a charge for pool at all hours, tho we should have assumed it. And even if we had assumed it we never would have expected to pay 30 bucks to play a couple games of pool and eat. Had it been busy we would have moved to a typical table or the bar, but as I said the place was bare!
Basically, I would have expected the bar to inform us of the charge, and perhaps our server to let us know that even though we aren't playing pool, we are being charged by the hour to be parked beside the table during their slowest hour.
Beyond that, I was incredibly disappointed with the prawns in the anchovy butter. I nearly gaged. By far the worst thing I have ever eaten. I would recommend they remove the item from the menu, if they haven't done so already.…
Upscale pool hall brings back a swanky speakeasy style.. In-the-know imbibers and pool sharks climb the flight of carpeted stairs that leads to this virtually invisible billiards club. At the top, a clubby space unfurls with a parlor-like dining room on the right, an expansive billiard hall on the left and an immaculate bar in the middle. The billiard tables attract a crowd but just as many clientele come for the speakeasy-style scene and upscale cuisine. Patrons lap up corn and crab chowder in a dimly lit dining room, where they enjoy entrees like lamb with a cinnamon cabernet glaze before finishing their meals with raspberry sake sorbet and another round of drinks.…
