Great Coffee!. Outstanding coffee, admireable business ethics, worth the wait in line...... I have been going to the Stumptown on Division since they opened years ago. The coffee is consistently great and I enjoy supporting a local business.

The staff picks the music and the art is always interesting. The staff is friendly enough most of the time, but not all of the time. It was more than a little uncomfortable when I witnessed the staff being indifferent (well, more like rude) to a "less than hip" customer.

Coffee Snobs Unite!. Stumptown is only tasteless to those whose palates require heaping spoonfuls of sugar, creamer, and artificial flavorings. I'm surprised that Stumptown, with their notoriously high standards, allows places like Vivace and New Seasons to serve (mutilate) their espresso. Those in Portland who recognize the difference between the rich, deep, velvety, creamy, bittersweet-chocolatey goodness of an expertly crafted macchiato, and the giant dose of sugary sludge Starbucks shamefully deems a "caramel macchiato,"also know where to find it: Stumptown and/or The Albina Press, the only place I know of to get Stumptown right.…
