The Best Food and The Best Prices!!.
Diane's Restaurant is the best place to go for breakfast, they ARE NOT racist or rude!!!!!!!!!! They treat everyone with respect and give great service to all, even to the non tippers and rude customers.
The prices and portion sizes are perfect. I have been going here every weekend (almost) since I was a child! The service has always been good and the staff friendly. Sundays are busy but a great place to go even for lunch during the week. They have wonderful seasonal specials.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a good home cooked meal!
Racist or Rude. . . or both.. While my Filipino friend and I used to enjoy the humor of the main server and the downhome quality of the food, they'd turned cold toward us the last few visits. . . culminating to the point of not serving us. . . perhaps influenced by the good old boys in the kitchen. . . they probably think my friend is chinese. . . if you're a little off-color, or even suntanned, I advise (albeit request) you to stay away. And go home if you want down home cookin', go elsewhere if you want something better.
Diane's Restaurant is fantastic!!!!. Diane's is just downright good homestyle cooking. They have breakfast and lunch featuring a very extensive menu. For breakfast they have it all, a simple egg breakfast, bisquits and gravy, pancakes and THE BEST chicken fried steak! It will melt in your mouth. For lunch they have great sandwiches including one of my favorites, a Monte Cristo. The whole menu is totally affordable and the service is great. I have never had to wait for a table, so if you are hungry and don't want to deal with the hour plus wait at some of the other Portland breakfast places give Diane's a try!
You'll not be disappointed.. Baby-boomers will appreciate a restaurant with the feel of bygone days. Customers are treated as individuals, not as "orders." The food reminds me of food as it was served when I was younger ... and the prices are easy on the wallet. However, younger persons will appreciate the speed at which their order is delivered and the courtesy of Diane and her employees. If you're looking for a good breakfast or a good lunch, look no further. You'll find both at Diane's Restaurant.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Known for its hearty breakfast platters, locals flock to the restaurant that offers affordable prices, fresh coffee and more.
Good, home-style cooking. I've eaten there twice and both times were very good. Most recently, we had breakfast and was not disapointed. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.
Best big breakfast in town. Dianes restaurant is open from 6am-3p,7 days a week. They have great breakfasts, and a special omlet Mon.-fri. They also have specials for lunch daily. If you enjoy good home cooking, and, a friendly group of people. you will enjoy Dianes Family Restaurant.
