She is the best!. It's been awhile since I've gotten a haircut from her because I cut my own hair now, but she had always done my haircuts several years ago. She is very fun to talk to as long as you aren't wasting her time and she will make good conversation. As the person before me said, it is a very laidback atmosphere so you can just chill there. I actually helped out with her shop for a bit sometimes too. It was always entertaining. Her prices are pretty good and she's very friendly.

Mae's the best. The last time I paid for a haircut was at Mae's. Make no mistake, this is a neighborhood barbershop. What that means is that she's not the best barber in the world, but we go back because of the laid-back atmosphere. Don't go here if you're in a rush, go here when you want to read the newspaper for a bit before reading it a bit more in the barber chair. Mae is truly personable and she remembers her regulars. For a while, I went in just so we could ramble on and on about random crap together. After the first couple times I came here, it was more just to ramble and I really didn't care what the haircut looked like. One thing though, it's good to know what you want and not mess around, because if you waste her time trying to find out what looks good on you she might get a little testy. Tip her well, she's got kids.
