A long-time favorite in northwest. Like all McMenamins, go for the atmosphere, the decor, and in this case, the pool tables and the fireplace. Don't go for the food, drink, or service.

This place Sucks...... ruby and ranch, get a new job if you hate it so much! I don't often complain about food service, because I understand how hectic it can be, but I had the ultimate slap in the face experiance at this place. My girlfriend and I where meeting some friends, when we found a table and our waitress got us our drinks. When we finally decided to order the girl completly ignored us. She would walk by our table, help the customers right across from us and turn her body so she didn't have to face us. Normally we don't bother to look at the time because we are to involved in our own conversation but it became apperant that she wanted nothing to do with us. Finally after what seemed like an hour we get her attention so we can pay for our drinks, she already has the bill in hand, and sets it on our table (we didn't even ask)! I don't understand, we barely talked to her, none of us said anything to offend. Lesson learned, go to the McMinns down the road...

they apparently don't want our business~~. Like a week ago, we went there and tried to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. But the time we walked in, we were standing next to the door and hoping some waitess will come to take us to sit. After 8 minutes of waiting, there were several waitresses who went by and looked at us like animals but didn't tell us what to do. Another 7 minutes went by, I started getting pissed off and went to talk to one of them who was running a debit card, she gave me an attitude and just told me to find somewhere to sit by myself.

When we finally found a table to sit down (that was another 20 minutes for us to find a "clean" table), no one came by to take our order or even give us water, and we had been waiting another 20 minutes before we left for what they had done to us.

So, they had totally wasted us 55 minutes.

Ruby and Ranch. What kind of moron waits forty-five minutes for water when there are about fifteen other places in a five block radius? If you hate the Blue Moon don?t go there retard! The service does not get better when you act like a total chode! At times, servers are bad or busy, but it would be nice if you were able to differentiate between the two. Could people be more rude and yet still keep coming back? You pretentious crybabies have preconceived expectations of a horrible experience and are really surprised when the service is slow when each server has (no joke) twenty tables, and at times are bartending and cooking your food? Have you never been to a McMenamin's before? People I know who work for this company work long shifts with no breaks while babysitting condescending patrons who criticize them for doing the best job they can under the circumstances. Many of these workers have other jobs and college degrees, but are disgruntled because they are waiting on rude impatient patrons who already expect poor service. Your morale would be low too if some fuckass continually came to your worthless job and made false assumptions about you. Customers should rate the poorly designed conception of these pubs, not the employees who are following their policies. This corporation does not value their employees and only cares about profit. The result is flat beer, poor quality food, understaffed employees and inexperienced managers. The goal is to cut corners to make a buck, i.e. one piece of bacon cut in half to represent two on all burgers. Take it up with the brothers!

I agree. Live close by. This place is clean but the wait staff is unorganized and confused and very understaffed. I tipped them out of pity. They were not that cute or nice. The food was cold and unappetizing, I waited an hour and a half after it took the staff almost 20 min to come to my table, only after I went to the bar and asked for service. He was not that busy and just shrugged his shoulders after I very politely asked for someone to take my order. Another time ( the first time) I had to cancel my order because I had to go to work. All I see is bad management in the wait staff and kitchen. Too bad, place is close. Can't eat asian food everyday. Will loose my parking if I drive anywhere. I am starting to rethink this "living in NW" thing.

Thanks. I will try it out again if they get more staff and better food. But I think I will have to move before that happens.
