Editorial Review for Crystal Ballroom – by David Kronenberg

In Short
Located three stories up, the ballroom boasts an impressive history--from jazz and dancing in the early 20th century to more recent concerts by some of today's biggest contempary acts. The venue holds 1,500 people and offers 7,500 square feet of floating dance floor--it bounces due to rubber under the hardwood. Patrons can also relax at tables on the intimate mezzanine. Three bars serve liquor, McMenamins' beers, the pub's own wines and snacks.

Ive been here a couple times, last time I went was when paul van dyk spun. The interior design isnt bad but they have to do something with bathrooms. The lines are way too long and half of the toilets were clogged. sadley the guys line was longer then the womens ,which was weird. Atomsphere was alright half and half you had your true partiers and the posers that only go because of the name of the Dj not the music and are quick to judge others. It made me more upset when people were throwing water bottles at the DJs. Most of them came from the under 21 crowd. Ive never seen that in cali,or in europe.Id recommend going when its a 21 and over event then a all ages those highschool kids tend to get annoying..especially the ones who go to electronica party and think its a hip hop fest. But I do love the springy floor..
