Editorial Review for Tuscany Grill – by Kristin Kaye

In Short
Exposed beams, chandeliers hanging from rope and pulleys, wooden farm tools and mirrors accent the dining room. Amber walls radiate a glow over diners at tables topped with brown paper. Fresh mozzarella blends with heirloom tomatoes, basil and balsamic dressing. Saffron broth mingles with homemade gnocchi, rock shrimp and caramelized onions. Scaloppine is served old-style: Veal layered with prosciutto and sage on spinach. Tiramisu is arranged in glass lined with ladyfingers for dipping.

1 Star Rating: Not Recommended

We recently went to Serratto (great Italian restaurant next to Tuscany Grill) and were planning on stopping into Tuscany Grill for desert, specifically their Tiramisu, which was to die for! However, we quickly discovered that Tuscany Grill is no longer in business, as evidenced by a letter from the former owners in the window. Not sure how long it takes Citysearch to update it's information for this sort of thing, but you will be disappointed if you plan on having dinner there.

I was visiting from Chicago for a week and decided to go for Italian with my father. I was in seek of Brushetta and many Portland Italian Restaurants did not serve "old world style" Brushetta with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil. I was very impressed by service and a kind door greater. I would highly recommend Tuscany as an Italian favorite if in the area. :)
