Good Service. I'm not certain what some of these reviews are talking about. Possibly they just caught a salesperson on a bad day? I was frankly, intimidated to go in and check them out but I am looking for a new Nikon and want to build a relationship with a camera store here, not online. The sales staff was friendly and courteous to me, even though I am obviously NOT going to spend thousands of dollars and I'm not a professional photographer. I'm still in the research stage of buying my new digital but I'm fairly certain when I decide I will buy it from them.
They finally succeeded in loosing my business forever. I’ve spent better than $5,000 at Pro Photo Supply over the past 18 months on professional gear. The other day I went in to purchase something, and at the end of the transaction, I realized I am just wasting my time trying to shop locally and give this business my business. They are smug, rude, dismissive, and seem to think that because they are the only real professional photo action in town, they can treat customers any way they wish. And, this isn’t the first time I’ve walked away from this place frustrated. I’ve put up with their ridiculous attitude and lack of product knowledge in several cases, in order not to have to wait sometimes for a product to ship from an online company. But, these guys just don’t get it, and they just don’t care. Here we are in a recession, yet people are willing to go to Pro Photo and spend their money – even when products are always cheaper online. I used to tell myself that buying locally ensured better service in the event of a return or repair. Not so. You get no better service form Pro Photo than any of the major online stores. If you must visit a retailer – drive to Seattle and visit GLAZERS CAMERA and if you don’t mind spending less and shopping online, visit ADORAMA and even better, B&H PHOTO. I’m so done with Pro Photo Supply. I’ll wait for online deliveries or drive to Seattle before I'll ever visit them again. So now, they have one less customer to have to go out of their way to help.
fair rental selection, rude sales people.
I've now had two negative experiences at Pro Photo, one was resolved, one was beyond help. Their rental selection is fair and we picked a lens for the weekend. Got it out in the field and realized it had been dropped at some point and the threads for filters were beyond bent, and therefore useless. We drove 40 minutes back to the city to have them exchange it, luckily they were able to. So if you rent, check EVERYTHING carefully before you leave the shop.
Recently I've been researching cameras and wanted to get a Pentax K20d in my hands, as I've only seen it online. The sales man literally rolled his eyes at me when I asked to see it. He asked what I was shooting with currently, and when I told him a Fuji S2 Pro he rolled his eyes, AGAIN, and huffed and walked away from me. He returned with a *NIKON D700* and informed me that THIS was the camera I should be buying. I didn't even humor him, we left. How unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude. I ran a photo store for years and had I seen a salesman of mine pull that little stunt I'd have grabbed him by his collar and pulled him off the floor. When someone asks to see a $900 camera body they're asking for a reason. You don't hand them a $2400 body and act like they're a moron. I will certainly not be purchasing anything, not the D200 that's also on my "maybe" list, not the Pentax, not a Fuji S5, NOTHING from them after this fiasco. Nor will I rent from them. I found an alternative place to rent lenses as well. I am done with them.

I had a camera I loved for 8 years - when it couldn't be fixed Sony Only referred me to Pro Photo Supply.
I didn't know how to convey what I desired but had to buy a camera for an upcoming trip. I'm a hobbyist
who relies on my camera to record my interior design work and research and for the love of photo art.
After hours on two different days I bought a camera which after 2 weeks I hated - it didn't live up to it's brand at all.
They welcomed me back with open arms - Kyle (really knowledgeable) took a look at my old camera which this time I brought along. He quickly showed me options - I walked out with what I REALLY wanted and needed. I am IN LOVE with my new camera! So many members of staff were ready to help out - I won't go anywhere else!

Rude and dismissive service. I was given a gift of $900 to spend on an SLR and ran to Pro Photo Supply to supply this wonderful gift. However, I could not get one person to wait on me, could not get anyone to answer a question. I left, walked around the block, decided I really wanted to spend my money locally, thought maybe it was just a bad moment and went back. Not a bad moment - a bad shop. I will never go there again. Maybe I don't look like a young, hip photographer, but I have talent and now, from somewhere else, the camera to go with it.
Great Selection & Price!. I had great buying experiences here! It's been a while since I have been, but they have a great selection and very good prices! Don't rely completely on ratings! Go in a check for yourself! It's a great store!
