I lived in the Greenway apartments and it was the worse apartment I have ever lived in. Not only is the building dirty and discusting but the management is very rude. They charged me a nonrefundable move in fee which was over $100 and did not pro-rate my first 1/2 month of rent. The manager Denise said that the reason she did not prorate my rent was because I had to pay a move-in fee, which I later found out is illegal. On the bill she did not total the amount correctly and said that since I signed the lease that I had to pay the extra amount even though the math was incorrect. When I moved out they charged me cleaning fees and painting fees and I didn't get much of my deposit back at all. This company is not only very greedy and inpolite with their tenants, but the building is full of mold. They cover it up well with layers of paint, when the rainy season starts the walls start bubbling and peeling, in the lobby, in the hallways, and in the apartment. When I mentioned any maintenance issues with the apartment I never heard back from the manager ever, she never returns phone calls. Only once the did maintenance come over to fix the kitchen sink in an emergency because it was over flowing. Seriously, this company is horrible!

Management refuses to acknowledge mistake or call back

No complaints with the apartment itself. Long story short; apartment manager at the Vintage apartment, in NE, threw away our potted plants without warning. She acknowledged that she should have given us some warning, like posting a notice on our doors, before throwing property away.

Okay, fair enough. People make mistakes. But when I went to the higher up management and asked for $100 (just the cost of the pots, not even mentioning that some of the plants were alive and had sentimental value) I received no official acknowledgement of a mistake from them. The manager even told me point blank on the phone that she would call me back the very next day about the situation. She never did. She also ignored two emails and return calls I made.

It was very strange. You would think a big real estate company like Bristol Equities would care about their public perception a little bit more. It's not as if $100 is a large amount of money, especially considering the apartment manager admitted she'd made a mistake. I am still just very surprised, not angry, but I felt the need to write this review out of principle.

horrible customer service and management

i have lived there once before and wanted to move back in because i had finished up college. the first time i called i was informed that two one bedrooms were coming available and that they would call me as soon as they were ready for me to see. jill NEVER called so i ended up calling her back and was told that they had already rented them and there was only a small studio left. at this point i had no choice but to take it because i had already passed up several other apartments in hopes for one at the vintage. when i came in to fill out the application they were very rude to me. i decided to see another apartment before i put down the deposite in hopes that i would find something a little bigger but more importantly with a nicer managment. the next day jill called to tell me i missed my appointment and i explained to her that i had found something else to which she replied, "well thanks for letting us know," sarcastically and then hung up the phone. when i called to tell cooperate how rude she was the lady there just sent me to voice mail. VERY UNPERFESSIONAL!
