This company is owned by a far right wing supporter of Rick Santorum. He markets cools stuff with slogans that are often anti-semitic and racist. This company is also proud that its merchandise is manufactured by sweatshop labor.
Trendy chain that models the latest fashions and bold home decor in a colorful, vivacious atmosphere..
In Short
Straight from the funky street styles of Southern Philly, this bohemian-chic shopping mecca has evolved to offer everything from trendy men and womens clothing to vintage-y home accessories. Brands like Lux, BDG, and Free People encompass the stores' youthful, ironically humorous, and comfortable designs. While apparel is the main draw, the urban emporium also sells kitschy, retro, and downright odd knick knacks and accessories for the living room, bedroom, and kitchen as well. Each section is packed with creative arrangements to peruse while listening to a soundtrack of the staff's favorite tunes.
tragically hip. When I visit, I am torn by feelings spite towards all that is trendy and pleasure and surprise at finding something that I like that is different from the generic items that many of the larger chains carry. It is a fine line that Urban Outfitters walks. Admittedly it is marketed towards a more affluent younger crowd, but if I could afford to buy more, I probably would. Curse you Urban Outfitters!
User review by anzo8888. This store has a lot of brand names most stores refuse to carry. It is very urban, hence the name, and theprices aren't bad for the type of clothing they carry. I would suggest this store to anyone whose style is anything frokm mainstream to one of a kind.
