Way too expensive, rude arrogant employees/management. Don't waste your time at this record shop. Highest prices in town, with employees that could care less of your musical interests (especially if they are considered "mainstream"). To fit in here you must wear a RAMONES or THE CLASH T-shirt, and tattered jeans.

Otherwise you will be treated like garbage.

Go to Circuit City or Best Buy and pay half the price.

Great Music Shop. A short ride on the Streetcar gets you there from anyplace downtown, and who doesn't like shopping on NW 23rd? Assuming you live downtown that is. I have never met a "snobby" employee there. There have only been two instances that they have not had my requested music in stock, and both times they were very courteous in getting me "on the list" and calling me when it was in. Great electronic/techno section. I would imagine that if you were treated rudely it probably had something to do with the "Portland Attitude." We don't like outsiders in our town. I would be surprised if you were treated rudely on your second visit. If being treated rudely the first time is too much for you to bare, I would suggest shopping someplace else. Like Beaverton.…
