Editorial Review for Mio Sushi – by Rachel Bellacera
In Short
The continued popularity of this sushi haven is evidenced by the quick turnover of its coveted tables and the crowd huddled outside the unassuming Victorian house, rain or shine. Starters include the shrimp shumai--crisp on the outside, with a cloud-like center--or the tart cucumber salad. Chicken yakisoba can be spiced up by request and is a good match for the crunchy, sweet tempura roll. The Oregon roll--a mixture of tender crab, avocado, asparagus and salmon--is a favorite.

I highly recommend the Sushi Pizza. Great Place to eat and exceptional fresh quality sushi. I really enjoyed the new sushi rolls in the menu, especially the vegetarian rolls. Wow, great taste with exceptional quality. Mio Sushi definately stands out from it's competitors.

I tried a lot of sushi and Mio is pretty good. True the menu is limited and sushi can get better than this but in Portland this place is my favorite for the value. The location is great and I love to come here for lunch or after shopping on NW 23rd. Not recommended for a romantic date though.
Pros: location, crunch roll, sushi
Cons: limited sushi rolls menu
