BEST TERIYAKI I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!. okay, so i am a huge fan of asian food. but i have to say teriyaki is to be one of my favorite. I have basically been to every teriyaki place around me, but this place!! had the best juicy, tender, tasty chicken i have ever tried in my life!!! i strongly recommend this place, i tell all of my friends to go here, and until i move out of state or something, this is going to be my favorite place. AWESOME TERIYAKI CHICKEN

A+++++ on Johnson Street!. We're so happy to have discovered this place! They were so attentive and friendly and the sushi was among the best we've had anywhere in the world! The portions were beyond generous and everything was served beautifully. Really, we couldn't stop remarking on the huge pieces of fish throughout lunch! VERY affordable too! Really! Do note... they are open for lunch Monday thru Saturday and do not close 2:30 - 5 as stated on their website. We confirmed this, as we intend on frequenting them mouth watering lunches from now on!

Can't get enough Mio!. We have been going to Mio for years at least once or twice a month for a big sushi feast. 80% of the time we get there before the horde, but if we don't, it is worth the wait. I love the super veggie rolls and the yellow tail. Only once in all the years did we have bad service, and I never saw that waitress again.

Great Sushi but Poor Atmosphere. I love sushi and wanted to take my sushi novice husband to his first sushi restaurant so I looked up what was considered the best in Portland. The tiny waiting area was shoulder to shoulder people who were looking straight down on several tables where people were eating. There were way too many tables in this small restaurant. We sat at a table for two with another couple within inches of us and it is apparent they were on their first date. The man loudly went on and on about his wonderful financial portfolio while his date was smiled at him. My husband and I couldn't even talk because the dining room conversations were terribly loud. They need to cut out about 1/3 of the tables and start taking reservations and do some major redecorating. Atmosphere is part of the experience and this place didn't have any. It looked like a crowded cafeteria at a community college. Hubbies food was cold-he hated going there. Nay-won't go again.

favorite sushi place!. The Mio Sushi on NW 23rd and Johnson (I believe that is the cross street) is the BEST sushi I have ever had. I found the place a few years back and now it is the ONLY place I go for sushi. It's a 20-60 minute drive depending on traffic, but totally worth it. I have been to the one on Killingsworth as well, and it was okay, but nothing like the 23rd one. When you walk in, all the staff says hello! which makes you feel welcome, and I have never had any issues with food quality or service. True, they don't ask you if you would like dessert...but then again, what sushi place does? The Sonny Special (the salmon one) is my all-time favorite sushi! As is the double crunch roll. You have to give this place a shot if you are in the area...or looking for good sushi! I reccomend it to everyone I know!

won't be back. We just ate at Mio Sushi @ Beaverton round. I can honestly say that was the worst sushi I have ever had. Aside from the ingredients not being fresh the service was extremely poor. Every roll was mushy and warm and difficult to stomach. We definitely felt that the fish/seafood was not fresh or being served at the correct temp. The waitress never once asked how the sushi was, never refilled any drinks. After we had finished she simply dropped the check and never asked if we would like desert or any thing else. She then brought change back to leave a greater than 20% tip which definitely was not happening. The only reason I gave one star was due to the fact you cannot list a zero. If you want great service and the best sushi in the Portland area, do yourself a favor and try Syun in Hillsboro. The best!

This Is The Place To Go. Before I visited Mio Sushi for the first time, I was very boring. I ate Califormia Rolls only because the thought of raw fish repulsed me. Eventually, I realized I was missing out on something. I wandered into Mio Sushi (at The Round in Beaverton) and bravely ordered 3-4 sushi rolls and had no idea what I really ordered. I was in love. I can't believe I waited for so long! Now I go to Mio on a regular basis. I am a junkie and I think I need a support group! I go 4-5 times a week, sometimes twice a day. They are so friendly! They always say hello and are very engaged with the customer. It is very clean, the miso is perfect, the fish is fresh, the rolls are generous, and I recommend it to all my friends. I visited the Mio Sushi in Aloha and was not as impressed. I have tried countless other sushi spots in Beaverton and Gresham. None of them come close to my Mio. They all know me there. I even call ahead to run in and get a to-go order. It's awesome!

Come to The Round for the best sushi ever. I'll probably be sitting at the next table.

Always fantastic and consistent sushi.. When I get a hankering for sushi , which is often, Mio Sushi is always the first restaurant to come to mind. Over the years I have found the location on NW Johnson location to serve consistently delicious rolls. A few items that I cannot go without ordering each time I dine here are: the double crunch roll, the cucumber salad, hamachi nigiri, and miso soup. Their miso soup is some of the best I've ever had. The only problem with the Mio Sushi location on Johnson is having to be on a waiting list. It usually doesn't take that long to get seated. If the Johnson location is too busy for you, I would recommend the Pearl location, which doesn't have the atmosphere of the NW location, but the food is always great!
