New Old Lompoc

Great beer! "Do you mind if your table is dirty?". My man and I were excited to hit this place for the great Monday deal! We sat at the only available table in the back, but it was so dark we couldn't see the notes we were trying to read. We asked the waitress if we could move to the window if it became available, and she seemed perplexed and irritated by the request, and informed us that there were no open tables. We thanked her for her help. When one did open up, we moved over. The waitress covering that area came over to pick up the tip and glared at us pointedly, like we didn't belong in her turf or something? Instead of proceeding to wipe down the sticky, oily crumb slop left by the people before us. She said, "Oh, I hope you don't mind if your table is dirty!" and then she walked off, never to attend to us again... except when we finally managed to painfully wrestle their WiFi password from her and proceeded in making this posting.

Bottom line: The beer is good (but not as good as other beer bases in the area), the music is crappy and loud, the people are colorful and interesting, and the service is piss poor. I wanted to love it here!  View Less … View More

Disappointed and Vulgar Service. EDIT: Look at their reviews. Everything after 2007 is all negative. Did management change? Since then, this place is awash. Good luck in this economic climate. Losing customers left and right.

Unfortunately, tasty beer is not enough to draw me back to this waterhole as there is plenty of other place in Portland that offer great beer.... and service... together, what a concept!

Bad service seems to be the norm here. While I can tolerate servers forgetting to fill up water or bringing food late, what I cannot tolerate is extremely RUDE and VULGAR waitresses who don't understand the concept of service, even at a minimal level.

I agree with what many people say. Waitresses are rude and they appear to be interested in everything else but their customers. Their tip reflected it and this customer will never return.  View Less … View More

CRAZY BAD SERVICE. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN! DO NOT RECOMMEND! I was in the neighborhood shopping on 23rd and decided to step into this bar for food and drinks. While the beer was good, i will have to say this place has quite possible the worst service i have ever experienced. And it wasn't only from one waiter, but it was from another one as well.

Rude, contempt at questions, and jeers described the overall feel from both of the lady waiters. One of them even whispered under her breath, "Jesus Christ," when i asked for water. WATER!

I will never go here again and i will make sure all my friends never go there again. Quite possibly the worst experience in a bar/restaurant. And it is all thanks to not only the oily food and incredibly dirty bathroom, but most importantly the two waitresses who displayed CRAZY BAD service!  View Less … View More
