This place is kinda punk rock (which means they don't care), but I've always loved their big slices and flavorful sauce. Haven't braved the gluten-free dough yet, but I'm very curious.

Horrible Service, Okay Music. I want to start out by saying that I have been to New York, I have been to Chicago, I have been to Cleveland, Boston, Detroit, and Pittsburgh so if anybody knows what "bad service" or "rude employees" are, it's me. The fact of the matter is that this is Portland and as a result those arguments do not apply.

I have been to Pizza Oasis twice now and I assure you that I am never going back. I entered a completely empty restaurant with a friend and ordered 2 slices of pizza, my date ordered one of the starter items on the menu. For drinks we ordered a water and a lemonade. The lemonade arrived quickly although the water for some reason never made an appearance. It was at least a good 20 minutes before my friends dish arrived and another 20 more before my 2 slices finally came. This wait was not eased at all by the fact that while waiting for our food we watched a group of 3 come in to the restaurant, sit down, order, receive their food, eat, and leave.

I am simply astonished at how long it took to receive our food. If you then stack on top of that the fact that I never received my drink, the free refills had to be requested at the front counter, the food is some of the greasiest I have ever seen, the card reader for debit and credit refused to work, the fact that there was only one employee to be seen at any given time (if that), and that I got to watch the employees smoke outside my window AND watch a homeless man rummage through the restaurants trash, I would have to say that this is an experience that I would find unacceptable regardless of the city in which I was in.

Frankly, the only things I could find that the restaurant had going for it were the "okay" music and the decently large slice size. Despite those two factors you would be better off walking the couple extra blocks and getting a fresh pizza made from "Eat Pizza" across from Hollywood Video near Burnside and 20th, it would take less time and in all honesty be better. OR if you are feeling active, you can also use that amount of time to walk to the 7-11 over by Portland State, at least they have Slurpees.

Great way to fail. Call in @ 10PM to get a pizza. First off I can barely understand a single word because they've got the music absolutely blasting. Now I'm a fan of very loud music but not when I have to say everything 2 or more times to get anything across.

Then the price was different from what the online price was.

Instead of taking 45min to and hour it was 1hour&45min and by that time the pizza was cold and smashed to one side as if had been set on its side.

I hate complaining like this but I'm sure this pizza would have been great if everything didn't happen as it did. but it did and this place (city search wont let me use the words that I want to use.)

Absolute best pizza, especially at this price. This is the best place for pizza in Portland. The wonderful mural might be even more fun to look at than the hypnotic stream of Burnside traffic, but service or atmosphere is not why this place is here. This is the very best pizza I've had in my life. The crust is thick and crispy, so if that's not your thing I can understand if you prefer others, but few other let you build your own slice. With only a few of your favorite toppings added, even just a single slice will leave you perfectly sated (and I'm no micro-stomach starving hipster). Even if you are in a group and inclined to order a pizza out of habit, I would still advise you all go wild and build your own slices - somehow they seem a bit more substantial, it means there's no compromises, and if you get just 3 toppings it often ends up being cheaper. Other than that, beer is served, which is nice, and pitchers are available, which is great, but I think I'd rather drink a 40oz in the street -- this place is great as somewhere to sit while you consume your fantastic pizza, and little more.

great pizza - bad service. It's true what many people have written about Pizza Oasis; the pizza is very good but the service is very poor. Inattentive service is one thing, but straight-up rude service is another. The ladies who work here have always given me nasty looks when I've walked in and it's not uncommon for them just to literally DROP your food onto the table and walk away. What gives? I'm always friendly and tip well. Is this anyway to treat people, let alone your customers? I've also waited up to 45 minutes for a slice of pizza here before (with no explanation or apology of course, just the same food-drop I've come to expect there.) And the salads are really lousy too. But alas, the pizza is so good! Come on ladies, I'm not asking you to jump through hoops or something, just basic decency.
