In Short
Puzzles, dolls, trucks, trinkets and train sets stack the walls, spill off of shelves and cover almost every inch of floor space. It has everything the mega-chains don't: a 10 percent discount for teachers, and gifts for members of the Birthday-of-the-Month Club. Barbie and her entourage don't hang here, but Madeline, "Ethnic Family" dolls by Small World Toys, and Madam Alexander collectibles do. Plus Ravensburger puzzles, Gund stuffed animals and the Breyer horses.

I always go to Child's Play with my kids (3 and 5) to pick out birthday gifts for parties. They have a great selection of unusual items and can usually make suggestions if we are stumped. The staff does an excellent job wrapping the gifts (at no charge) and we can browse (play) while we wait. We went this Sunday, for our usual pre-party shopping trip and they didn't open until the time the party was supposed to start. Oh No! Fortunately, there was someone in the store. I pled my case and they let us in early, let us purchase our gifts and wrapped them for us before the store was even open! How great is that!?!? I'll certainly be more careful about checking hours of operation in the future, but we'll definitely continue to do all of our toy shopping at Child's Play. Oh, and by the way. Santa shops and has his gifts wrapped here too. The elves at the store use special holiday wrapping paper that we don't have at home!

Child's Play offers an upscale toy, doll, book and game selection. There are some unique and educational items that you might not see elseware. Kids will definitely delight in all the goodies and toys that this store has to offer. PROS: Educational toys, books, and games CONS: Cramped quarters if you've got a stroller or more than one child
