This Florist Rocks and has for a very long time.. I remember 21st and Glisan in its heyday. Zefiro was on one corner, Sammy's Flowers was in Durst's Thriftway. They grounded the neighborhood. The neighborhood was buzzing with interesting artist types. Nob Hill Pharmacy was my favorite place to buy chocolates for Valentine's Day, get the oldest school looking Mother's Day and Easter cards, I swear, it seemed like some of the cards were purchased 20 years prior. Keep Em Flying was the best vintage store and had the best men's suits. I look around today and Zefiro is gone :( Keep Em Flying is gone :( Durst's the best 24 hour market is gone :( , but you know who has kept the soul of the neighborhood alive? Sammy's Flowers. I can't run into an interesting drag queen at 1 am in Durst's Market anymore (while getting my late night snack), or sit outside of Zefiro for what was the best Cesar salad in town, but I can still shop at Sammy's, choose my own flowers for my arrangement like I'm at Pike Street Market in Seattle, grab the best cup of coffee right in front of her store and hope to God the restaurants surrounding her will someday be as good as Zefiro was. Yes, I am biased. The 21st and Glisan I used to love only holds onto its old soul because Sammy's Flowers remains. Support this florist please. She rocks!  View Less View More

wilted and pricey. I love creating fun and eclectic arrangements. Sammy's often has a more unique mix to select from but they're expensive. The prices would be bearable if the quality was better. There blooms often look old and worn. That in itself wouldn't be too bad if they would at least recognize it and compromise on prices. I primarily shop at the location next to Trader Joe's on Glisan. I was really disappointed after stopping in today. The sales person was bitching endlessly about another customer. When I asked her about some of the flowers that looked like they had at best a few days of good life she insisted they were all fresh and would last 1 - 2 weeks. I couldn't even find enough to select from to create one complete arrangement. To top it off, after spending $18 I didn't even hear a thank you!  View Less View More

Top wedding flowers!!!!! Gorgeous. I love there flower shop. I ordered my wedding bouquet with them and they went above and beyond to get exactly what I had ordered/ wanted. My wedding bouquet when we eloped got messed up I had told them my storie when I was ordering. So they made sure to get the exact specialty flowers i wanted. I am truely greatful they did for me! The people who helped me were SO nice and the women that made the bouquet was so sweet. She even cried making the bouquet and was very nice helping me with everything! I would go back anytime they are great!  View Less View More

Beautiful flowers. My son was not in the country on his first wedding anniversary. He wanted beautiful flowers for his wife, and Sammy's provided them on time, with her favorite flowers. He sent me a picture of what they did, and it was a lovely arrangement. It eased his mind knowing she would have these flowers, and he could trust the store to get them there on the correct date.  View Less View More

Extraordinary Flowers!. Sammy's did the flowers for our daughter's Feb. 28th wedding at the Waverley Country Club. They were designed, created and executed by SAGE,a floral designer at Sammy's. It was as if SAGEcrawled inside my daughter''s head and created the exact floral arrangements that my daughter wanted. Our friends are still commenting on the outstanding arrangements a month later! The prices were more than fair, and this shop accomodated our every need. The attention to detail with delivery right on time and set-up done to perfection could not be toppedd by any florist. Go to Sammy's and ask for SAGE!  View Less View More
