Great for Wedding Bookings. I was very excited about the group rate that Rebecca in sales was able to offer the out-of-town guests attending my wedding. Not many of them were coming, and a lot of them were unconfirmed, but she was able to make a flexible arrangement that encouraged my guests to book in the best part of town for walking to excellent restaurants, shops, and entertainment. My guests were impressed with the service, luxuriously spacious king rooms, and quality of front desk restaurant recommendations. I was delighted by Rebecca's consistently professionalism and the front desk staff's complete support of my dropping welcome baskets off to be placed in my guests' rooms. I would recommend the Silver Cloud as a classy, affordable place for wedding guests to stay, and my Dad will book with them on his next trip to visit me.
An affordable lodging choice on the edge of a trendy neighborhood..
The Scene
Boutiques, restaurants and upscale wine bars abound on NW 23rd Avenue. Aside from a few upscale B&Bs, there aren't many lodging choices in this neighborhood. That's why this functional, safe establishment is greatly appreciated by visitors who want to be close to hipsterville without laying out a ton of green.
The Details
This is a fairly generic hotel. Guests check in and go straight to their rooms, which are spacious and clean. Every unit in this four-story building boasts the basics, plus fridges. Start the day at the breakfast buffet that includes made-to-order waffles garnished with fresh fruit. You may find yourself socializing in the weight room, but most guests head out to experience the nightlife that waits just down the street.
way to be!. I could not believe how nice this hotel was for how little I paid! I travel quite a bit and I've never come across a nicer hotel staff! Especially Barbara, their Front Desk Manager; talk about Southern Charm! It's a lovely little neighborhood and I HIGHLY recommend this lovely little hotel.
Great Value. My parents stayed here while visiting Portland and loved it. The rooms are pretty average, but clean. It is close to one of the hippest areas in town, so you can walk to many things or hop on the streetcar. You also have free breakfast with home made waffles and coffe and many varieties of tea available at all times. There is also a wine night. They only paid $79 a night for staying a week. They had excellent service and a great time. Would recommend to cost-concience out-of-town guests.
