BEST SALON EVER!!!. I enjoyed Visual F/X salon so much! The stylist Katie showed me what a great salon experience should be. I am always nervous seeing a stylist for the first time, but Katie put me right at ease. She was easy and fun to talk to. She did a great job listening and delivering the highlights/cut I wanted. I made sure to book my next appointment with her before I left. Everyone in the salon seems to really enjoy what they do, and each other.

Hottest salon in Portland. I normally don't write reviews, but I was compelled to after receiving the best cut and color service. I was referred by a friend to see Nicole at Visual F/X. It was so amazing. Not only is she a talented stylist, but she also was able to teach me how to style my hair at home!! My cut and color are just what I asked for and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely go back to Nicole!! I will recommend her to all my friends.

Best place for salon services in all of Portland. Off hip nw 23rd place near liquor store!!. The owner is onsite daily here and the entire staff is very friendly.

Conveniently located off NW 23rd getting there is a breeze.

They also have a great line of styling products.

I think next time I'll get a manicure or pedicure. I'll pass on the waxing.

Thanks again for your years of service and haircuts and shaves.

I know I'll be coming to you for my wedding.

MY BEST CUT EVER!!!. My mom has been going here and getting her hair cut by the owner, Connie, for 20+ years, so obviously she loves it. After having a few OK cuts recently, my mom finally asked Connie who she reccommended cut my thick hair. I had Josie, and she was AMAZING!! She also has thick hair, and so she understood. But even if you don't have thick hair: Josie listens and makes sure she gives you a cut that works with your hair, age, personal style, styling abilities (or lack thereof, like me), and everything. The entire time, she was asking things like, "OK, so how long do you like your bangs," or "Do you prefer your layers to be choppy, or...?" I described what I wanted for my hair, and she talked me through what it was specifically, so that I left the salon loving my cut, knowing what I could do with it and how, and also having eaten a piece of the free cake they had in the waiting area. :-P

Visual FX Hair cut experience. I would definitely recommend this salon. The staff was very knowledgeable and freindly. I was made to feel relaxed and confident in their skills rather than being at all concerned with how my color & cut might turn out. Understand that I have had tons of bad cuts due to my very curly hair! Even my husband commented on my hair and he Never notices such things.

Lastly, Fridays are cocktails day! My future appointments will definitely be on Fridays.
