Here you will find your basic eggs and bacon, slow dripped coffee and a few scrambles with additional ingredients like avocado or sausage. Come here when you don't want to wait elsewhere.
Fabulous Breakfast (and likely more)!!.
I've eaten at Bridges several times (for breakfast), and have *yet* to be disappointed by either my own meal or the meal that my boyfriend has ordered (since I invariably end up sampling his too!). Meals are fresh, well-prepared, and have well-balanced flavors and accompaniments. There are options for vegans and vegetarians alike. The daily specials have tempted me away from my "planned" breakfasts almost every time I have visited and I have yet to be disappointed. The fresh-made wheat bread is *to die for*.
Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of meal you receive and the staff is friendly but not intrusive. I highly recommend this place.
Awesome catering!.
These folks regularly cater events for my union and are consistently fabulous in what they bring. Vegan and Vegetarian selections are thoughtfully integrated in with delicious food for the rest of us omnivores. Chicken Curry on skewers with wonderful sauces and fruit chutney, perfect rice with yummy cookies, or enchiladas, or, if I remember right, eggplant parmesan, or box lunches with platters of excellent sandwiches are some examples.
I have no idea what they charge because someone else set that up, but I'm planning to use them the next time I have an event to cater!
not a good idea.
we ordered eggs benedict. the waiter said "me benedict", implying that is who he was. odd, considering who Benedict is.
anyhow, immediately when we got home (4 blocks away) the food came right out the same way it came in.
such a shame. used to be our favorite spot.
Won't Go Again. The food's pretty good for breakfast, but I can't take the pretense of the fellow who's waited on me the last few times. Servers should be trained to refill coffee and ask how the food is once. That's not asking too much. I gave it a few tries, but no more.
Wheres the Beef?. I used to love this place. My whole family did. Particularly the Catfish Hash. In fact, when my daughter was in the hospital she specifically asked for it when she got her appetite back. So we ordered it, sent someone out to pick it up, brought it back to the hospital and...NO CATFISH IN THE CATFISH HASH. Okay, like two inch sized cubes. Soggy, nasty-rotten tasting fish sized cubes. So we called back to check... and got a "well what d'you want us to do?" response. We wanted then catfish! We had paid $10 for a pile of spuds. So we went back to get our catfish, got a rude and testy response, and we won't be back. such a shame. New cook? New manager? Too bad.
Great Biscuits and Gravy. I'm frankly surprised there has not been a review posted yet. I have heard nothing but good things about this cafe and was not disappointed when I took my friend there for breakfast yesterday. Biscuits and gravy are a menu item that tend to be either "great" or "shouldn't have ordered those." The Country Breakfast was exactly what I was looking for and the buttery, flaky biscuits were yummy and not overpowered by the delicious gravy. It was difficult to decide between all of the menu items and specials, so I look forward to going back and trying something else. Many, if not all of their items, are organic as well. The service was pleasant as well. We never had to wait for anything and the waitress checked on us without being annoying and obtrusive. I highly recommend Bridges.
Good Food - Horrible Service. This place has some of the worst service I have ever received in my life. The pretentious, rude, grouchy, 30+, alterna-dorks just dont get it. This place has really good food and the lady with dreads seems friendly, but the other two staff people really bothered me. They dont say thanks, they dont make eye contact, and they dont ask how your meal is going. They should find new jobs before they ruin anymore breakfasts. Because of these two rude servers I can not recommend this place. Owner, please fire these two people. I am sure that their horrible attitude would prevent them from ever getting another job, so I am sure that we, the patrons, will be stuck with these grouches for way too long.
Pretty good breakfast!.
Nice breakfast (Country breakfast was wonderful)! The staff wasn't overattentive ... nice balance of attentive and friendly. I would say the location is pretty quiet and is in an easy-to-park place.
All in all, a nice place.
Sad!. I am sad, I considered myself a regular for breakfasts here but the service has been downhill every time that I have visited lately. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend bridges anymore. Maybe if you order your food take-out you can avoid being disappointed.
Mmm Breakfast. Is it really called "Bridges Soup and Sandwich?" I think it's Bridges Cafe. ANYWAY, best breakfast in town, especially if you need a late breakfast. Small, brightly decorated, comfortable dining room. Not pretentious. Not trendy. Very pleasant. Good portions, great price. Service is uneven, though.
