Great Food, Friendly Folks. My husband have been there many times over the last few years. We love their burgers, the bacon, and even the salad dressing. The atmosphere is great too. All of the servers we have encountered have been friendly and accommodating. I will probably go there tonight...…
Poor service. Four of us went to County Cork the night of 3/12/11. We arrived around 8pm. There were 4 empty tables. We took a seat at one and waited and waited and waited. After 10 minutes of not one employee stopping by our table to say hi, bring us water, bring us menus, or take our beer order we got up and left. It wasn't busy at all and with service like that, or lack of service, I'm not surprised. It was embarrassing for us as we were entertaining an out of town guest. Given we didn't get to try their food or beers, I can't give a rating for that. My one star rating pertains to service only.…
Great neighborhood pub!. I moved into the neighborhood almost a year ago and almost immediately became a regular at County Cork. The staff is always welcoming - even to people they haven't met before (I will say the "bad apple" of the group is no longer employed there). The burgers are among the best in Portland and the beer selection is great - both local and foreign offerings. The only drawback is occasionally the kids take over the place, though I blame this on the parents that don't require them to behave, rather than the staff who kindly tolerate it. I recommend this place to everyone.…
Poor service and sticky tables, as usual. I returned again with my wife and we had fish and chips. The table was sticky - not the first time. It was a Monday evening, yet we waited forever to get served. And once we were served, we could not get the waiter's attention to pay. Despite repeated visits, this treatment seems to be the norm.…
