Expensive and rather unconcerned about maintinence. This company has very nice properties but average to poor management skills. I felt sorry for the owner's of the house I rented as they did the cheapest, barest, and mediocre repair work and were really not too concerned about the poor quality of work they were doing.

Also, we discussed the year to year lease as I had never signed a year lease before. Since I knew that my schooling ended in a September and I was signing in July, I asked if it went month to month after one year since I would be graduating in a September. I was told, 'No problem'. The next year, I was sent a letter requiring another year commitment and when asked about the month to month was told, "We would never do that". Again I explained that in the next year I would need to leave in a September as my graduate program ended in that month. I was then told 'tough', I would have to commit to a full year knowing I would be leaving 2 months after signing and would either have to find someone to take my lease or be liable for the whole years rent.

I moved and found a less expensive, more high quality place that was month to month to boot. only rent from these folks if you know that someday, you will move out the exact same month you move in. Kinda hard to do if you end up being transferred to another city or some other life circumstance occurs.  View Less

Excruciating Experience. We had an awful experience with this property management group. Despite having multiple years of rental history and meeting the income qualifications for every other rental management service we've ever worked with, this company treated us like we'd never rented before and wouldn't ever hope to qualify. They seriously treated us like dirt. Cari had an awful attitude and was very unprofessional. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a more reasonably-priced, better experience. Side note: our experience with Capital Property Management has been outstanding and I'd look there first. That's how renters and potential renters should be treated.  View Less View More

Pleasant experience. I'm suprised to read the comment below, We've rented from them for the last year and a half, and have had nothing but good experiences with the staff, especially Cari. She is usually the person who answers the phones, and the first one we see when we go to pay our rent. She's always been very friendly and helpful. We even referred some friends to them, and they ended up renting a property through Pierson as well, and are happy with them. I've rented before this, and know that there are no guarentees when applying. The person probably left some facts out about why they were denied. Give them a try, I bet you'll be pleasantly suprised.  View Less View More

HORRIBLE!!!. I called twice and spoke to Cari Pierce and explained to her my concern in applying for a house they'd posted on craigslist for rent. My concern was that I had just moved up from San Francisco and had not established employment. I also had only owned property before, and so had no 'rental history'. HOWEVER my roommate was gainfully employed making over 50k a year, with an over 700 credit score, and PERFECT rental history for over 10 years. When I spoke with her over the phone, she said that it'd be no problem and that my roommate would more then make up for the fact that I was not working. So after waiting 2 weeks to apply in hopes to find something else, we applied and paid the $80.00 application fee. We then called 2 business days later to see what the status was only to be told that due to my lack of work, and no rental history that we'd be turned down. WHAT!!!!!????? Are you kidding me!!?? I called and spoke directly to her twice regarding my concern, and of course my application indicated that I was not working. Why would they even need to submit the application, they knew from prior phone calls of the situation.

I really wish I'd found this website prior to applying, because based on the reviews it sounds like a shady company, for more then just my issue.  View Less

Terrible customer service. We have rented many different times over the years thru college and have never dealt with such an unprofessional businesss. They wouldn't respond to simple repair requests, creepy repairman named wolf, rude staff. They also are holding back our deposit I would not recommend this business.  View Less View More
