Outstanding customer service. I purchased a high-end Asko washer/dryer set from the Portland store and the salesman was friendly and helpful. They delivered my new set promptly and took away my old one. To make a long story short, the dryer broke almost immediately, was fixed, and then broke again, one load later. It clearly had systemic problems, but Asko's policy was to keep fixing it, as opposed to replacing it. George Smith supported me in my assertion that I paid top dollar for a new, high-end dryer that was no longer in new condition due to the severity of the breakdowns and repairs. When Asko refused to replace my dryer, George Smith replaced it on their own dime the very next day. Wow, that's service!

Poor after sale service. I purchased a range, dishwasher, and microwave from George Smith Appliances. The products were name brands and performed as expected. Service was great until the sale was complete. The delivery truck drove over my yard, left a 10 foot divet, stopped, looked at it and just kept going. When I complained their manager Ty Walters promised to have someone come and fix it for 4 weeks and then just stopped responding to my calls and emails. I was happy with the appliances but very disappointed with the service.

NO installation of microwave hoods or dishwashers. We bought a house full of appliances, we were assured that George Smith has the lowest prices and they do delivery and installation... They plugged in the washing machine and the refrigerator. The dryer was vented wrong and they didn't bring (or even mention) the stacking bracket so they had to take it back and return in two days. They did not install the microwave hood or dishwasher after they repeatedly told us they did installation and delivery. There was no paperwork or verbal information saying that there were any exceptions regarding microwave hoods or dishwashers. The salesman and at least two different managers do not return phone calls or messages.
