The Associates at A Beautiful Bride, measures either to big or too small, and then sends you to pay more at Valerie's Alterations. (Which is way out in Brush Prairie Wa) Out of 4 dresses...one was 2 sizes too big, Two of them, a size too small and the other dress was 2 sizes too small. Gets you to sign off on the measurements (as if we know that stuff) and then gives an attitude when confronted. Talks poorly about the Bride and her taste in dresses and how unaccomodating they are for her Bridesmaids. Told me it was a mermaid dress and that it probably wouldn't look that good on me. Pointing out (AGAIN) that the Bride should've paid more attention to the body types of her girls and picked a different dress. (Yes, she said all of us would not look good in it) Very unprofessional. Refuses even so much as an apology. A $144.00 dress ended up costing more than $220.00!!
Pros: I was given a mini Krackel candy bar as a bonus to my purchase. haha
Cons: Dress arrived the week before the wedding. Too close.

I recently purchased a bridesmaid's dress through A Beautiful Bride, and experienced the most unprofessional service I've ever encountered! I was measured for my dress, and told by the sales associate that my size would be "x." Upon returning to the shop to pick up the garment I found the dress to fit too tightly. The associate commented that "of course it will be tight THERE on you; you carry your weight there. I suspected it would fit that way." I was a bit taken aback by her commentary on my weight, but paid for the dress and left with the number of their recommended alterations professional--and her assurance that the dress, once altered, would fit correctly. After several visits to the seamstress, I was told that A Beautiful Bride really should have ordered a larger size and there was nothing more she could do. Discussion amongst the bridal party at the bridal shower revealed rude and demeaning remarks made to all of us during the measurement and ordering process at the bridal shop, by not one but both associates. During a call to the shop to express her dissatisfaction of the treatment of her friends and the mis-measurement of several dresses the shop refused to take responsibility, and in fact blamed each member of the bridal party instead. Though our experience with A Beautiful Bride certainly did not ruin the wedding, their lack of customer service caused unnecessary grief and worry for the bride the week of her wedding. We were all amazed at the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism in an industry that thrives on word of mouth and referrals for the majority of their business. Proceed with caution!
