The Ambassaodr, Scorned. The Ambassador, a bar of the future from the point of view of the 1980s. Normally, one of our go to bars due to the convenient location and not bad food, although the lack of Guinness on tap is a constant sore point as is the truck stop rivaling condition of the restrooms. After last night, however, our group shall never return. Our waitress (Elizabeth? Tall skinny woman with glasses.) was exceedingly rude the entire evening. She started it off by calling our friend "Baldy." I assume she was trying to be funny, but it was a bit early in the evening and for all she knew he had just recovered from chemotherapy. After that, she told us after two Jaegerbombs that we were at risk of being cut off and "you know those are $9 apiece, right?" The absolute kick in the teeth, however, was at the end of the night when our friend was served up with an insane bar tab. They claimed that he and his wife had consumed 11 Gin and Tonics and 8 beers, for a grand total of $140. Now, unless you're a pretty spectacular alcoholic or the bar is impressively watering down the drinks, there's no way you're going to drink 11 G&T's and still be coherent. We tried to point out that there must be some mistake and that his name, being exceedingly common, had perhaps been confused with another patron. The response? "Well, he looks pretty drunk to me." Thank you, Breathalizer Beth, we had no idea that a person of your talents was serving us beverages all evening.

The pork fried rice we ordered was pretty awesome. Karaoke there is fun, except for the fact that swearing on stage will get you an instant end to your evening. But, if you have a thick skin, can watch your tongue, and possess skills as an accountant to keep track of your own bill, by all means visit The Ambassador. You will not find us there again, however. Last night was the noodle that broke the Strega Nona's back. I award you one star, but only because the review tool does not provide for negative starrage.

E-GADS!!! What a NIGHTMARE!!!. This is the worst place I have ever been to in my entire life, and that includes a tour of the auschwitz concentration camp! If you want to hang out at the end of a dying universe...spend as much time possible in this joint. The food costs WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. They have stupid rules and as I understand it their boss is hideously greedy. NEVER go into this place!! They are liars and thieves!!!

Rockin good times!. Staff was great! Good food and alot of it for the money. They have two karaoke places inside so the wait is not too bad. I love the DJ's and love to hear them sing. Mostly I love listening to good singers as I am not a singer myself. Really great atmosphere and probably the best karaoke bar I have been to.

Good service but really bad food. For a chinese restaurant, the place is nice and clean.

We went there on Friday around 6-7pm, there was not a single soul in the dining area, except the bar. That tells you something isn't right.

Anyhow, we ordered our food. The food is god awful. How could a Chinese restuarant messed up with stirred fried. It is like Mexicans make really bad taco!

We barely finished our food and left hungry.

Pros: The service was really good. I guess it is because we are the only customer there.

The only reason that this place is still open is because of the bar. The food is really bad!

We won't be going again.. We decided to try the Ambassador one Sunday for lunch. The parking lot was packed (generally a good sign). The restaurant was empty. The bar was full. Our waitress was attentive, but the food (which is what we came for) was spotty. The kung pao chicken was decent, The sweet and sour shrimp were abysmal. The shrimp were tough and tasted like they'd been fried beforehand and warmed up prior to serving. We asked for tea (not an unreasonable request in a Chinese restaurant). We were informed that it hadn't been made yet. "He was supposed to make some last night, but didn't" Huh? Do they make up tea the night before and warm it up for their patrons? We got coffee mugs of hot water with Lipton tea bags. We informed the waitress that the shimp was tough early on but thought maybe it'd improve as we got into it a little more. It got worse and we informed her that it was inedible. She did take it off the check. We tipped her our customary 20% (on the original menu items). She'd served the food like she was supposed to, it wasn't her fault the shimp was bad. Although I'd like some clarification on the tea situation. In short, we won't be back. I'm not a big drinker and not into Karaoke. They should shut down the restaurant and make the whole place a karaoke bar. The management only seems to be serving Chinese food as a sideline.

Decent. Wanted to find a place to eat near my apartment and decided to give the Ambassador a try. I service was stellar. The waitress Tina, gave us her input on what she thought was good and we took some of her advice. She was attentive and friendly, we enjoyed talking with her. At 6.95 a plate lunch including soup, fried rice, and an eggroll you really can't go wrong, even if the food is lackluster, which is exactly what it was. The barbequed pork was awesome on the other hand and the eggflower soup was very good. The General Tso's was not spicy, the Schezuan chicken was also not spicy, and the flavor was bland. The beef and brocoli was the best thing we ordered this afternoon. All in all an average place to eat. The bar was clean and i can see how Karaoke in the evenings could get out of hand and i think that is what they cater to.

Kind of addicted now.... We went here for a family party and we were very surprised with how much we liked it! The service has been FANTASTIC every time we've been. Very clean. We love the food too. The veggies all taste fresh. The flavors are great. We have brought 2 other families with us since then and now THEY are regulars. Very vegetarian friendly too! LOVE that. We always DO tip 15% or up.....so we were not at all turned off by the automatic gratuity when we used our Entertainment card. This place a pleasant surprise.
