An old-school meatery that boasts an exemplary version of its title dish, Clyde's actually had a lot more to offer than just prime rib.

Hands down better than wxyz lounge. Me & 3 girlfriends met at wxyz lounge last Wednesday night to celebrate my last day in a department I'd been at for 10 1/2 years. We had a very negative experience (poor service, poor drinks, incorrect information on their website) so we left and happened upon Clyde's Prime Rib. Our bartender, Chelynn, was what we'd been looking for at wxyz lounge but missed. Clyde kept the kitchen open so my friends could have steak. Chelynn noticed my one friend wasn't enjoying her drink (a bit strong for her), added a mix to it and brought it right up to snuff for her. She was attentive, professional, knowledged. Clyde's accomodated us and turned our frustration into a great night! FYI: Chelynn also bartends at a place nearby called Peter's.

Not bad, but could be much better. Elderly relatives live close to this restaurant, which is the number 1 reason for us being there. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and the staff have always been very nice and helpful. The prime rib tidbits are very good. I think for the prices they charge, the salad/or soup should be included with the price of the meal. My salad was not worth $ 4. Two people in our party had the prime rib steak. I would estimate that about 75% of the steak was fat, and that was for both of the prime rib dinners. This is not the first time we have had really fatty pieces of meat. Another member of our party had a different kind of steak, I believe a New York and that was just as fatty as the prime rib. Its a nice place with a nice staff, I just wish they had a better quality of meat.

Love me some tender prime rib. Dark velvet booths, 1930's style chandeliers, perfect Manhatten, knowledgeable waitstaff and of course--beautiful prime rib.

Can I eat there everyday??

Prime Rib Bites at Happy Hour :). Ok we decided to stop here after paying rent, since every month we drive by it on the 4th.

We made it inside for happy hour so the prices were incredible. The tempora appetizer and the prime rib bites were really really yummy! It's probably not a place I would come for dinner, since it was pricey.... but during happy hour the prices are really worth what you get.

It is really really dark in there, but it looks nice. The waitress was really nice and attentive.

All in all.... great place for cheap yummy happy hour appetizers!

Wow!. We had so much fun at Clyde's last week! The food was good ol' meat and potatoes and it was done perfectly.

Our server, Becky, was stellar, she was on top of things and never let us see the bottoms of our glasses!

After we ate, we moved over to the bar for the live music and after a while it was VERY crowded, but still great. Before we knew it, we were out grooving to the beat on the dance floor!

overrated. I had driven past this place many times, and decided that we should stop in for dinner. Overall, it was disappointing. First off, there is not a window in that place, so you feel like you're walking into a dungeon when you walk in the door, especially if it's a nice sunny day because inside, you would never know it. We decided that we couldn't come here without getting the prime rib. Call me cheap, but for the price and the size cuts you get there, you could get twice as much other places in town. The food itself was good and the prime rib was good, but like i said, pricey. We decided to have a couple cocktails after dinner, and was shocked when I saw our bill and how much they charged us for them, and they were standard drinks. Nothing fancy. As we enjoyed our drinks, the crowd for the music started showing up, and the place went from a nice prime rib restaurant, to a cheap r&b club (by cheap i mean there was actually a guy in a purple fur pimp coat and purple fur pimp hat). Though it gave us a good laugh, it really ruined the atmosphere of the place for us and cheapened the place more. It seems like this place is in an identity crisis - can't decide between being a nice intimate prime rib restaurant and a nightclub. both do not work harmoniously together. Overall, it was an interesting experience. We are not likely to be back anytime soon, but enjoyed the good laughs and overly priced good prime rib for the night.

might return. We decided to try clydes. After years of commenting on the random prime rib resturant on sandy.

We were seated quickly. I loved the booths it was decorated very 1950-60 dinner house really kitchy. I liked it. Everyone had there salads mixed table side but us which was strand then when we got the to-go it came out in a plastic con

Qtainer while everyone else seemed to get theirs wrapped in tin foil in some fun shape.

I thought the prices seemed resonable other than the dinner didn't come with a salad and it was an additional three dollars. It all adds up when you get 2 appitizers also. I agree their drinks are WEAK!

All and all we will put it on the list if we want to drop $80.00 on dinner 1 alcoholic drink and a soda

Prime rib is good but mixed drinks are weak. My husband and I went to Cylde's Saturday night for dinner. The prime rib was good. We ate in the lounge which is smoke free. Our waiter provided excellent service. Drink soda, beer or wine as the mixed drinks are weak for the price. Check the website calendar for music. The Elite R&B band was playing and the lounge was packed. The dance floor is small and very crowded with a diverse and lively 30 plus crowd. Seating is limited so get there early if you want a seat on a night when a popular band is playing. We had a great time and hope to return soon.

I was disappointed. I wanted to try Clyde's to support a neighborhood establishment, but was sadly disappointed by the quality and presentation of the food. My partner didn?t eat most of his meal; he found his steak to be lukewarm and overly salted. Considering the price, one would expect the beef to have been prepared flawlessly and there have been more imagination in the salad (lettuce with dressing) and sides. I will not go back; there are better places for steak in town.
