Soooooo Good!!! – I absolutely love this place!! Teriyaki Chicken is amazing, rice is perfect and the iceburg salad is shockingly YUMMY! No, you're not going to get vegetables, but trust me, this simple salad is crunchy and delicious. The salad dressing does appear watered down, but it turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the meal. This isn't the cleanest place in the world (kitchen area), but honestly, the food is so good I don't really care. The tables to eat at are clean, the helpings are HUGE (enough for two meals), the people are friendly, the price is inexpensive and the food is authentic and delicious. I wish there was more seating and I wish they would not give out styrofoam containers for taking food home, but other than that I have nothing bad to say about this place. I'll be going back again and again!

The 'go to' for teriyaki – ''Uno mas, chicken!'' I'll be honest, I love the chicken teriyaki so much I have never, ever tried anything else at Du's because it is just so good. The chicken is so moist and flavorful, complete with grill marks, and has been covered in a delicious teriyaki sauce. The sticky rice is perfectly sticky, and comes with more yummy teriyaki sauce. As for the salad, yes, it is iceberg, but any other leaf would not crunch as nicely with the to-die-for creamy house dressing (and this is coming from a die-hard spinach and dark leafy greens eater who only uses evoo and balsamic on their salads). Trust me, every bite is worth it because all of the flavors and textures together somehow cumulate into perfection. Actually, don't trust me---go there now (not weekends) and get your fill!

So good – I love this place. My brother let me try some of his and I went there a few days later to get some of my own. If I had not been so hungry the first night I probably could have made three meals out of one order of chicken and pork teriyaki. As it stands I got dinner and the next day's lunch instead. My only wish is that there was something other than iceberg lettuce in the salad but it is still delicious.

Absolutely Addictive Teriyake – I MUST eat Du's at least once a week. In a town where there just aren't that many restaurants I want to eat at often, this is the exception. Some other reviewers may not care for certain items, but this is one of those places where you just have to know what to order. Once you do, you'll be addicted too. Oh yeah, and watching them pump out a huge volume of orders like they do always makes for a good show. Nice people.

not the best – my boyfriend swears by this place so he talked me into it. Not only was the facility dirty, I couldn't stomach the way they took the meat out of this huge broiler and just slopped it on their grill with meat that was already cooking. They tell you they serve vegetables with the teriyaki, but in reality it's only iceberg lettuce. No carrots no broccoli, nothing but iceberg lettuce. They charge you $7 for a bunch of rice and one piece of chicken that's actually rather dry. I will never eat there again.

POLYSTYRENE CONTAINER MELTED THROUGH. POLYSTYRENE IS TOXIC. Take your own dish... – Ordered two orders of yakisoba noodles. Disappointed to find food containers made of recycle number 6, polystyrene. Quickly scooped the food onto a ceramic plate and found a hole melted through the container.

Hot food should never be placed into polystyrene containers. Google "polystyrene food toxic" and read how toxins are released from plastics when they are heated. Bisphenol-A (BPA) was found in the bloodstream of 95% of the population. Baby bottles, can liners, etc are all made with plastics containing BPA. Polystyrene creates other toxins as well. DU'S MAY EARN A HIGHER FOOD RATING AFTER THEIR CONTAINERS ARE CHANGED. Melting doesn't need to occur for toxins to be released.

I can tell you how good it is...... – My wife and I ate there, several times a month, for 5 years.

We have since moved to Seattle.

It is SO GOOD...(and it's been two years since we visited PDX) that I am

SECRETLY calling Du's to order the teriyaki sauce to be sent to MY WORK.

So, for my wife's birthday in October, I can expertly Grill and cut marinated chicken breasts

and top with the fabulous Du's teriyaki sauce.

My mouth is watering as I write this.

None of this to overshadow one of the best customer service experiences in Portland.

She is on the phone taking orders and helping you at the same time and remembers your favorite after

the first visit. I think she said they go through 5 THOUSAND pounds of Chicken a month.

That's how good it is.

They do one thing and they do it well. – Du's makes teriyaki. The best teriyaki I have had anywhere. The salad and rice that come with the meal are very good too. There is one dressing for the salad. A yummy lemony poppyseed dressing that I love. Don't bother with the yakisoba. Just get a heaping helping of amazing grilled chicken with a great sauce. That's it.

OH - MY - GOODNESS !!! – How can you describe taste? I could use all the adjectives I can think of including colors and sounds. But, when it comes down to it I can only think of an Exclamation. With a pleasant attitude and a hearty smile, you are served as family. Quick and healthy portions are always on the menu. Just be sure to beet the lunch rush if you are in a hurry. You will have a lot of compitition out there after the same GOODNESS you crave.

Found a hair – We couldn't wait to try Du's after reading the great reviews and smelling the delicious smokey meats while driving down Sandy. They were fast, very nice and we were excited to take our lunches home. Good flavor, kind of sweet though. Then my husband found a hair mixed in with his chicken about 1/2 way through the meal. Gross, can't go back.
