Portland >Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza
This Portland-based mini-chain serves up sophisticated slices..
Behind the street-side picture windows, the sleek decor of modern furniture and highly polished floors feels nothing like a typical pizza joint. In keeping with the visuals, the pies are upscale versions of their traditional cousins. Gourmet toppings like spicy shrimp and barbecued chicken are layered atop thin crusts brushed with olive oil and garlic. Rounding out the menu are fresh salads and paninis, complemented by local wines and microbrews.
Puttanesca Sucks. I love pizza but I hate Puttanesca. Please! Please! get some regular veggie pizza going. Black olive and mushroom? Artichokes? Something simple that tastes good. Last week it was zuchinni and egggplant with cheese. Come on you guys. Stop using the left over veggies and get something average.
Delicous gourmet pizza. My office my office co-workers and I love to get pizza by the slice! We are addicted to the pastry-like dough, the gourmet flavors, and the affordable price. You can get a large slice under $4.00. My favorite pizza is the Thai BBQ and the Shrimp and Pesto pizza. The majority in the office adore the Puttanesca and the Pepperoni. - Horizon Crew scheduling.
Pizza for the Gourmet. I can't say enough about the thought that has gone into these pizzas. My roommate is a trained chef that used to work at Pizzicato. They care enough about ingredients that they pay extra to import high-tariff cheeses from France even though they know that only a handful of people will ever appreciate it.
