Edan & staff are the best! I've been going to Defining Image for about 4 years. Several months ago, they changed their color product to more natural ingredients. The color was o.k. but after several months they decided they just weren't getting the best product and results for their customers! So, they switched back to the product that gives great coverage. Nice customer service. I have had cuts and color by most of the stylists - they are all professional and do a terrific job! I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I went to Defining Image for several years and booked appoinments with many of the staff just to try out their style. Overall they were all really good, with the exception of Tia who turned my hair yellow and Edan blamed it on my PH levels, not the stylists experience or judgment. I actually got over that incident and continued going to the salon with reservation until one day I'd just had enough. Patty and Edan are the most annoying mother/son team I've ever come accross. They are unprofessional, love to gossip about other clients and refuse to take any responsibilty for any mistakes made at the salon. I've never booked with Patty, however at every appointment I had, she felt it necessary to give her 2 cents (I was even lucky enough for her to tell me I used "unprofessional" makeup, had eyes that made me look much older, and that I needed to color in my eyebrows.) Edan also let me know that because of the high internet reviews they were attracting customers who expected great color services. He was somehow appaled by this and was angry that it was bringing in clients with high color demands. Overall this is a great salon, but Patty and Edan's attitudes are enough to ruin it for me. I'm now going to Novare and the location, staff, attitudes, etc are all excellent. Stay away if you're looking for a professional salon where family gossip and put downs aren't your idea of great customer service.
