Yum Yum. Great Customer Service....good food and the spinach swiss cheese bagel to die or....always heard it was a great bagel shop now I know.....it is
Great Bagels. I got a plain bagel and schmear. Great bagels, good schmear. The bagel was hot and toasted to perfection, and they put the schmear on for me, which I love. I love the way the skin of the bagel kind of separates from the "meat" of the bagel. That doesn't sound to appetizing, but it is.
Popular bagel chain brings the classic New York treat to West Coast neighborhoods..
In Short
Scattered around California and the Pacific Northwest, these casual cafes cater to on-the-go daytime diners. In addition to 17 sweet and savory bagel varieties and a range of flavored cream cheeses, the shop's morning menu offers freshly baked pastries, signature "eggsensation" omelet combinations and five coffee blends named for NYC neighborhoods. Lunch options include gourmet sausage "bagel dogs," a selection of salads and hot and cold deli sandwiches piled with pastrami, corned beef and lox.
not a real bagel and terrible help. there is just no real thing in portland, for sure, also this is like some high school outpost for bad bagels, invented by some hippie from the northwest, do not eat there, they forget your order the minute they write it down, have to redo it 3 times, the bagels are fake, the eggs are fake, the help rude and very condescending, like "what now?" was the response to my saying my bagel was not toasted by the blonde girl in piggy tails, and rudely wrapping it back up in the same crumpled paper over and over...even after she then forgo to butter it, then she forgot to salt and pepper it...etc...the 18 year old girl manager seemed to care less too...don't bother....
Awesome Bagels, very flavorful and soft.. Ive been going to Noah's for years! I love it. Its a great place to go in the mornings to sit and have coffee, a good bagel sandwich, and people watch. Its always busy but still produces your meal in less than 5 minutes. They have seasonal bagels such as pumpkin, but my favorite is the potato peppercorn! Its a perfect bagel. Check them out.. You wont be disappointed!
Good shmear!. Noahs bagels have a long shelf life... so I sometime will get the bagel box with two shmears and it last me for a few weeks. The pumpkin bagels, when in season are best with honey almond shmear! Ahhh, heaven. I feel like buying the bagel w/ shmear on an individual basis is a bit pricey, $2.19, when you only pay .89c for the bagel alone... However they are a great value in bulk.
Are these really bagels?. So, I used to leave in NYC and I can tell you without a doubt that these are among the worse bagels I have ever had. Bagel Land is much better. Coming here is just to get bread in the shape of a bagel. If you like these, then you have never had a real bagel and should make a special trip to NYC just to try. The outside should be crisp and inside fluffy not doughy and soft on the outside like Noah's. I know many of you Portlanders sware by this but if you want to get real bagels support another place.
Yummy Bagels!. I discovered this place on a fun shopping day with a friend, and boy was I happy I did. The bagels seem very fresh. The paninis are exceptional and are available in many varieties at an affordable price. If you're in a hurry, just grab a bagel or muffin to go. If you're not in a hurry, sit by the window and do some people watching, it's pretty fun in such an eclectic and diverse neighborhood.
